@@sarahw5693, ha, me going to school 😂. There is too many beautiful girls at school who don’t even wear makeup and they look better than me who wears makeup because without it I am not at all worth looking at 😂, so imma have to handle this sort of look cause I am the “do not talk to me unless I talk to you vibe” 😂
@@darthmaul2005 I bet you're cute af- but I get you from my school day's forever ago lol.. Never used much makeup at my work- I wasn't around ppl so.. Now I just want to look- Decent.. But a gal will definitely need to know how to do a - Don't fu#@ with me look 😎
Every customer service worker that has to smile while people treat them like garbage is thanking you for this. It's gives off that, I'mbeingniceandsmilingbutIcouldroundhousekickyouifIchose vibe we all try to achieve.
Same here. I’m petite and people think I’m 17 even though I’m in my mid 20’s and married. People really annoy me with treating me like a child. 🙄 This was made for people like us lol 😂 👌
Growing up as a Mexican American in the 80’s and 90’s we used to do some straight up sharpie eyebrows, bright under eyes, dark eyeliner, tons of mascara, and a super dark brown or burgundy lip. I already have RBF so with that style of makeup, no one messed with me in high school! Lol 😆😎
Lol as someone who’s mexican. I will NEVER not have a bright under eye, winged liner, and my brown lip liner. That will always be a staple for my makeup 😂❤️
Your whole vibe in general screams “I’m a baddie, don’t mess with me” and this look is just chef’s kiss. I think it’s funny though because, at least on camera, you seem like a genuinely nice person
Aaaand this is why you're my favorite...I'm an attorney and need this so people take me seriously and I don't look like the brunette version of Elle Woods in court.
Also, I've noticed if you have a seemingly plumper bottom lip v. your top lip it gives "serious business woman" pout because it pulls/shifts it downward. Like a reverse smile.
God bless the person who requested this, didn’t realize I needed it. As a person your age with round face and big eyes who also gets the “cute” compliment (ahem) a lot, and can’t pull off natural make-up without looking 18-20, THANK YOU! I usually go for softer smokey eyes or dark lip when I want to be taken seriously (also because I love it), but I had no idea what to do for something more… daily-like. I will definitely try that double contour inner eye/brow trick! Hope it works on me too! Also, I very much appreciate that you used that Viseart palette that I have (can’t wait to see more looks), that you confirmed my love for the 80s looking blush and that you also like to sometimes feather out the lip liner. Makes me feel I’m doing some things right…
I love this!!!!!! I do find it interesting that this has a lot of crossover with your “boy beat” video. A lot of “looking intimidating” is about accentuating masc features and happy tends to lean more feminine. I’m non-binary and constantly struggle between wanting to look androgynous and wanting to look approachable. Your videos have helped a lot, I find something new to try in every one. Thank you ❤️
I needed this! I'm 32, 5'1", petite, high pitched voice, basically fucked. I am so so so so tired of being called cute, adorable, etc 🙄. Not being taken seriously. Can't wait to try out this look. You might just change my life.
I would love this and the happy make up on either side of your face to really see the difference! I love your videoes, you’ve really been putting out some top class content!
I freakin loved your energy in this video, yes you look more intimidating until you smile..your smile Alex is contagious and I hate smiling but you my friend your smile is so kind
Can I just say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you don't use photo filters. So many MUA will use filters and pass it off as their natural talent, which makes their fans confused as to why they can't look the same way. I'm a really bad perfectionist and I'm always so hard on myself when I don't look the same as in the video... so yeah, thank you! :)
I love how you make yourself into literal art no matter what you do!! So beautiful and inspiring. I could definitely use a bit of that intimidating vibe to get people to just not fuck with me. You are so real, you’re not trying to be anyone else, you’re not trying to put on a ‘show’ just real, true self. I love you!
i love that this look basically accentuate your actual features, this could pass as a no-makeup makeup look tbh just a little bit more snatched and model-like
I love your make up tutorials. You do a beautiful job of blending and you look flawless, yet you don't you don't cake on the cake on the make up. This is what the real working class people need! THANK YOU!
I cannot tell you how incredibly helpful these kinds of videos are. I’ve probably mentioned that I’m a photographer, my images are usually very conceptual and story-telling and I often do self portraits because it’s more convenient. Being able to change my face up like this is not only helpful for regular life, but it’s SO helpful for my character photos! Thank you!!!!! 🖤🖤🖤
Also you’re intimidating in general because of your confidence, if I saw you on the street I’d think you were a bad bitch. This makeup contributes to that. If I had never seen your videos and how chill you are in them, i probs wouldn’t approach tbh… I’d still think you were pretty regardless,,,
Your background has something that looks very much like the "Moisturize me" lady from Doctor Who. If you know you know. ...In an episode of Seinfeld, Jerry's uncle Leo lost his eyebrows in an accident and Elaine drew them on for him with a sharpie and then he went to the doctor and everyone thought he was super hostile and angry. It got into his medical record as being a "difficult patient" just because he had a ridic strong brow...
I basically have all of these features naturally. Comes in handy in the subways station but my coworkers automatically think I'm saying something mean every time I open my mouth 🤦
I really need this, I'm 32 and people are always AWWW LOOK HOW CUTE SHE IS and then starts blabing about their problems. I don't wanna know, Susan. Get your shit togheter.
I loooooove this look. That smoky wing is really, really cool. (I also loved when your cat was on the window sill and her shadow was on the wall around 14:30.)
my friend taught me how to do a really smokey close-to-lash-line smeared out kajal and I do it ever since i got to know about it. I loved how you did your makeup and it reminded me of how my friend and i always talk about techniques we wanted to try and its just out there now in a singular video omg
🤷🏾♀️ I accentuate my dark circles too! I saw an Indian makeup tutorial where the girl had naturally deep pigmented lids, and they enhanced her simple warm eye makeup so well, I HAD to try it… and fell in love! I like in combination with a “puppy eye” 🥺
I already have RBF. Won't stop me from trying these tricks out because there's nothing wrong with looking EVEN MORE intimidating 😆. I feel so honored that your cat has graced us with her/his presence. I love her/his face.
I bleeping love you! 🤣 You're hilarious, you always make me crack a smile even on days when it feels impossible while at the same time being extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
This was literally why I started wearing more makeup. I kept getting approached with no makeup on and my friends who are much better looking but with killer angry eye cat eyes would get left alone and I just really wanted to be left alone though. My resting face is apparently “please I need someone to talk to me I’m very meek” but inside I am a grumpy old man
Tip for all you soap brow peeps out there.... Save and clean one of your The Ordinary bottles with a pipette and put water in it and keep it with your soap. A drop or two is more precise and the soap doesn't get overly wet, and no running to the sink. Spray bottles are fine but I find that they wet too much of the soap for my liking. And Alex, you look badass all the time. This is just another level though!
The bleeps have me on the floor as we speak!!! Anyway, now that you helped me with my RBF, now comes the help i need when i must venture into the world with my social battery at -50
I watched a tip where if you get some stray mascara, going in with a clean dry spooly and brushing will help get it off without ruining your shadows. Give it a shot if it happens again!
I'm so glad you make this easy to follow and understand I'm a beginner and have never done make up and I'm trying to figure out how and what works for me. Thanks
I love your casually bathing tabby in the background on the chair! this tutorial is very useful, I do get tired of looking like I’m “nice.” I want resting baddie face! :)
I love your cat!! Can we see more of him! You look naturally beautiful without make up as well. I enjoy your style without all the distractions other makeup guras use! 💄🙏
🤣😂😅 The beginning. I.just.can’t. This video is what I need right nowwwwww! I still can’t get over how good your skin looks RN. Skincarebaddie AF. This was an amazing tutorial- as always!
i just did bitchy makeup yesterday!! it really works lol if ppl aren't gonna socially distance on purpose at least i can cut them with my eyes to keep them far away from me
u literally did the exact makeup that i do everyday, the only thing i don’t do is the dark inner corner. i looooove this look and it looks bomb on everyone!!!
I’m 25 and as I get ´’older’´ my eyes get more and more hooded to the point I cannot do ‘regular eyeshadow’ anymore. This has been challenging especially since I was really good at eye makeup in the past couple of years. This is the first video I saw (and girl I must have WATCHED 30) that was really helpful!!!!!
Can you do the “I’m not as crazy as I look” makeup look? I’m 6’1, people are mostly scared when I walk in with my resting bitch face... I’m really trying to be nice but I scare everyone before I even start talking
