I just want to say I found myself in the exact situation where I had proposed a base but my expectations shifted after going through all of the interviews. This helped me SO much in drafting a professional response. I just sent it out, wish me luck!

Wasn't offered a whole lot more but thats because they were already making me a pretty great offer to begin with. But I would still use this script next time!

Great video! Thanks so much. I haven't received a job offer yet, but I've had several interviews with the hiring manager for a position I'm interested in. I have found out that I seriously lowballed my salary requirements (approximately $20,000 less than the lower part of the organization's range) when I gave my range during the second interview recently. The reason I know this is because the job is posted on LinkedIn and the salary range is included in the posting. If I get an offer that's within my range, any suggestions on how to incorporate their LinkedIn range into an email?

Hello, I loved your content here! Do you have any tips for when a company has created a new position for four job positions to fall under one person? How can I negotiate so that I also am compensated for working the job of 4 people?

What if you lowballed yourself during performance review? I had very positive performance review and at the end they told me my new salary and asked what I thought. I only asked for 2K more but now a few days later am really wishing I said a bit higher. My same position is currently hiring and I see they increased the base pay from before. Is it too late to ask again?

What if they gave me way more than what I asked for initially. But, I still know that I probably got the lower end of their offer based on what I asked for

What about when you see the Colorado pay range on the posting and then early on they state a rate at half of the lowest amount for a remote job? Like i know I'm not in Colorado but that is a huge difference!

You could always ask the organization with their geo differentials are compared to their headquarters. Typically, orgs will set their headquarters at neutral & then adjust up or down based on location. Example: Chicago is neutral & you’d adjust up 10-15% for SF and NYC. You’d adjust down for Indiana. Let me know if this helps.

@@JanellKnowsMoney thanks for the reply. I just got the notice an offer is on the way! Verbal communication for an initial discussion they were back on par with the listing. I still asked how are things calculated and they said it must have been a communication error and equity amounts were much larger than any of the stated amounts too. I guess once I see if the written offer is correct and approved i will feel much better
