I own a 2015 Trailhawk V6. I've def put it to some off-road use on a few trails in AZ!! I LOVE IT!! Used it on Broken Arrow and went down "the steps". search it to see the trail terrain. The party I was with were very surprised what it handled! This thing can crawl!! Kept up with upgraded Wranglers! The interior has a premium sporty feel to it. Drives great on the road! Avg 21-23mpg. Towed a 6x12 uhaul trailer Phx to Austin no prob! GREAT OFF-ROAD Capability, good everyday driver! On Trailhawk option gas isn't as economical as similar crossovers in class, but there's no real comparison if your looking for true offroading! It fits my needs! The closest it might compare to is a Nissan Xterra, heard gas mpg isn't as good and it's due for a new model upgrade, otherwise great off road vehicle! MSRP on mine was $34,500, navigation, Uconnect, rear cam, and leather seats. paid $28,600 plus Tax. My only CON for me is that there is No Lift Kit for these! It's lifted 1"in factory, but it'd be Great if one could upgrade! It did hit a little when going down " The Steps" but skid plates help quite a bit! Overall, still enjoying my Jeep!!! That's my 2 cents, thanks for reading! :)

I have a '15 trailhawk...excellent vehicle. Live on a mountain in WV, and it had no problem this winter.

hi @everyman driver could u please make a video on jeep cherokee trailhawk (3.2 lt) about the operation of different terrain mode? i mean how to operate those when actually u need those and how to disengage those specially the 4wl low and diff lock. how to do a real hill decent.. i checked ur other videos but those are from outside.. i am asking something from insude how to change gear in rock mode with diff lock to gain speed or how to turn off diff lock. for example do i need to do full stop for turn off the diff lock?? thanks in advance..

FCA had a Cherokee Limited and a Trailhawk at NAIAS. They're pretty good looking and quite comfortable inside. The thing that worried me is that already on the 2nd day of the public autoshow the driver's door on the Limited felt like the hinges were torn apart or something. That was the only car on the entire show that was exhibiting a problem. Doesn't give me confidence. And the main question is still: did they finally fix their transmission or is it still hit or miss ?

Can you talk about the 9 speed transmission reading posts on the internet people have had trouble with the transmission they've been recalled several times to update the firmware on the transmission software. Has that issue been addressed by Jeep?

Wife didn't like Cherokee Jeep at all. When he gets in and says 'snug already' that's very true. Wife didn't like how that felt. Too snug for her. He also says that the headroom might be an issue and it was for me. I sat in the back seat and if I sat with straight back I could feel the top. Backseat transmission bump was also an issue if you ever have 3 people in backseat. I probably wouldn't even try 3 people back there as it would be very uncomfortable for the unlucky bump straddle. Wife ended up going for the Honda CRV. More comfortable and smooth for her as a driver. Much better backseat and headroom space in the back. Better gas mileage as well. I tried to get her to consider the Mazda CX-5 a bit more after we test drove that but she preferred the Honda. The Mazda just had a bit more of a sporty feel to it which I really liked but am fine with the CRV.

creaturebrown I know most people will buy a cheaper model. I just think it will be really hard for that dealer to sell such an expensive Cherokee when Wranglers and Grand Cherokees are the same price.

+Jay Haddix I own a 2014 Limited 2x Drive with the smaller engine. I have 40k miles on it. I love it. The smaller engine is ok,very good gas milage(up to 31.5 miles per gallon) but it is underpowered. The suv rides very nice,noise is no issue,seats are very comfortable. I would purchase again. Heated seats and steering wheel is great. Love the auto start function. I also like that Jeep give you a speedo readout in the center control panel. Many other company's do not!
