But this is a respectful compliment with an invitation to get to know each other better. So refreshing honestly.

This is ok for older/more mature women, like 35/40+. For an average looking guy approaching any woman younger than that I wouldn't advocate for starting with an apology. Similar to not apologizing for a good surprise, the value being presented is a mutual opportunity for something great, something better than presumably either person has going on at the moment. For younger women I would also avoid physical compliments, rather an observation of a behavior or item that suggests something in common. Younger attractive women have a device that literally gives them validation regarding their beauty on a magnitude literally never before seen in history via the Internet and social media. A random guys compliment will do next to nothing for her, understandably. She may appreciate it in theory but it is unlikely to cause a positive emotional response. Legions of internet simps have worn away that dopamine path in her brain long, long ago. Also it's predicatable while not adding anything new to the conversation, if you're asking her out she assumes it's because you find her attractive. If the woman is older and mature you can do these things as some may find them chivalrous, considerate and flattering.

Im glad nonesense like this will never be mainstream. The pendulum is about to swing and common sense will reign for the spring and summer at least.
