The 120 Series Hawk is also British made, has four times the fatigue life of the T1 and is configurable (HOTAS) to mimic the aircraft the pilot is training for (Typhoon, F35, etc.).

I just had to deliver some office furniture to aerialist in Bristol and they had a full-sized model of this in their warehouse... it looks very impressive. In a previous life I worked for the Ministry of Defence on the Eurofighter and cruise missile projects, and the guy that I was dealing with was happy to tell me what he could about it and seemed very proud of what they have achieved and very positive about the future...

The T-7 is coming currently comming off the production line. How many of these next generation trainers can the world market support?

UK Aerilis and its partners inside UK should hold this modular tech design properly and wont transfer it easily. To preserve technical know how on its hardware and software they only allow foreign country buyers to have a cosmetic and basic maintenance. UK Aerilis should only partner with ANGLOSPHERE countries that would only co produce a new advance variant or parts and not be a competion for same models IMHO

The Hawk T1 Wolf And T2 Superwolf only came out in 2006, and you couldn’t replace it with a plane without a kinked nose such as this imagery as it won’t pitch against the cpu efficiently

The T-7 with a Rolls Royce engine would be nice. But let's hope that this gets of the ground. The light attack fighter T2 looks good.

Hmmmm... interesting, but would you really want a modular interchangeable hardware system as opposed to the HAL Tejas LIFT concept where the aircraft's handling characteristics, weapons fit, display and controls, and avionics are all reconfigurable by software at the flick of a switch between training missions?

weight & balance aside this plane with short to extend a Bernoulli principle jet pipe to the tail for a greater acceleration of air at lower power setting, maybe a Con/Di adjustable exhaust, who knows a little AB reheat acceleration does not have to Mach 1 + but a leader in class could not hurt ? mic stone

The design seems tailor made to be turned into a pilotless AI driven armed combat drone OR loyal wingman. Would it be wise at this stage, to bring HAL from India and perhaps the Israeli aerospace company in as partners.
@bobdylan7120

I worked with HAL on their Hawk build programme. Believe me, you don't want to partner with them on anything, least of all a new design.

@@bobdylan7120 Thanks for the reply. I would be very interested to learn more from your experiences with HAL. The two major benefits of bringing HAL into the fold would be their potential market for such a weapon, making production runs cheaper. CASH. Probably more importantly. They share a land border with CCP occupied China STRATEGIC access. I have some knowledge regarding IBM in India. IBM UK needing to recode everything sent to them from India. I suspect you will report the same levels of erm technical incompetence. The cooperation would need to be advanced training as with the Hawk and Jaguar. If those involved are forewarned of the difficulties etc etc. India could also do with remedial assistance regarding joint future Main Battle Tank acquisitions. Again cash and strategic benefits being the driving force.

@@gusgone4527 I inspected some of their suppliers. They had adopted many of the accepted western management and quality processes but only at face value. For example, a company machining the chassis for a V/UHF radio, displayed metrics on the wall showing a 100% yield (unheard of in the west). However, by looking in bins and under benches I found dozens of defective components. They only compiled the metrics after the final QA inspection! From what I could see the real yield was closer to 20%, an abysmal figure. The most frightening thing though was when we left the factory and were driving through the nearby village. There were huts along the roadside where individuals were clearly working on aircraft parts with absolutely no process or quality control. It was like a cottage industry to deal with the factory overflow. I spent over a year there and realised it's a cultural thing. They 'adopt' the required processes to get the work but they don't believe in them or see why they should be followed. As long as the finished part looks okay then it is okay.

@@bobdylan7120 I get that and yes, it is a cultural thing. The Israelis had a similar experience. Any collaborations would need to be primarily financial and any production lines duplicated. British products built in British factories and Indian products produced in India, with a huge amount of QA oversight. It can be done. Thanks for the reply my friend. Very interesting.

@@bobdylan7120 I anticipated your answer before I even read it, Bob. It is a long time since I worked on military programmes but recall that the best projects were UK only, failing that we got along with Swedish aerospace.

AERALIS looks too stripped down, small and limited in performance and flexibility. AERALIS need to increase the weight of the jet by 20% so it can easily cope with light attack and fighter roles like the successful Hawk did forty years ago. Also, make it just supersonic in level flight without afterburner, which should be doable these days far more easily than it was in the 1960s. AERALIS risk making the same mistake the Folland Gnat did by being too small and cost conscious with its competitors rightly claiming that for only a small increase in weight and cost a dramatic increase in performance and operational flexibility can be achieved. Basically, an upgraded Hawk with slatted wing, slight stretch to the fuselage for area ruling and being supersonic in level flight would be hard to beat.
