You are correct he is barely mentioned, thankfully there are details about Joseph that was recorded and kept to this day in the Oldest Christian Church!
In the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church, Joseph does have his own holiday. We also believe Joseph was much older than Mary and he was more of a guardian than a husband. He had other children that were Mary's stepchildren.

19:20 "The town was full of people coming to Bethlehem... Apparently, no one was nice enough to let a heavily pregnant woman take the adjoining suite" - I think this is a bit of an understatement concerning the Roman politics that was taking place at the time (seriously look it up, it's a real deep diver). But, basically, after Mark Anthony was defeated by Caesar Augustus, he wanted to reunite all the Roman territories, which called for a nation-wide census. That's why not only Bethlehem, but a lot of the neighbouring cities in Judea were overflowing... entire families were uprooting and heading to temporary lodging in order to be counted. If the story of Joseph having six kids is to be believed, then all eight of them would have been there, looking for space.
Take it the clown who made the video didn't even read the scriptures - they went to Bethlehem due to the Roman Census not for a social visit with extended relatives.

John 2: 11 does say that when the so called wise men reached Jesus he was living in a house, not a stable, so, I suppose that your assumptions of where Mary & Joseph eventually laid their heads might indeed be correct. Alternatively, John 2:1 says that all these things happened after Jesus was born, so a more likely senerio might be that by the time the Astrologers arrived, Mary & Joseph indeed found a home to live in

The scary part is the Bible states this is how people should behave and live but Christians cherry pick what they follow in the Bible these days, no more fear of stoning 🤷🏻♀️ In the US at least 🤣
Some people of all faiths throughout time have cherry picked their own scriptures. That doesn't make a particular writing, specifically the bible, less true, it only reflects the degree of faith and/or obedience that that individual expresses concerning the writing. Many people call themselves christians or Muslims or whatever but do not live as their sacred texts command. They are adherents in name only. This is certainly evident in the U.S.!

There are different Greek words that describe brothers or cousins. Adelphos and Adelphoi. Adelphos and Adelphoi literally means from the same womb. Anepsios and Syggenis are the usual Greek words defining cousins or kinsman.
Luke 2:7 And she gave birth to her ***firstborn son**** and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. FIRST defines it self- Mary gave birth to more children. Matthew 1:25 but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus. This doesn’t say Joseph never “knew” /had intimate relations with his wife, Mary. It says he didn’t UNTIL she had given birth.
Also we have the words Christ spoke on the cross: As Jesus hung on the cross, the Bible records that He spoke seven final statements. The third saying, recorded in John 19:26-27, expresses the Lord’s care and concern for His mother: “When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, ‘Woman, here is your son,’ and to the disciple, ‘Here is your mother.’ From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.” The unnamed disciple whom Jesus addressed was the apostle John himself. Despite His excruciating physical agony, Jesus was concerned about the welfare of His mother and the pain she was experiencing. With His thoughts on Mary’s future security and protection, Jesus entrusted her into the care of John, His beloved disciple. Most scholars believe Joseph, Mary’s husband, was already dead by this time. Traditionally, the oldest son in a Jewish family was duty-bound to provide for his mother’s care if she became a widow. By entrusting Mary to John’s care, Jesus was fulfilling His family responsibility as a devoted son. Typically, a dying son would commit his mother into the care of another member of his immediate family. In the case of Jesus, that would have been James, Jude, or another male sibling. But Jesus knew that none of his younger brothers were disciples yet-they had not accepted Christ’s claims or committed to His mission. Thus, Jesus most likely chose John out of profound spiritual concern for His mother. Even in death, Christ was focused on spiritual matters.
Some things are accurate and good but mostly disrespectful and not the word “Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” (Deut. 4:2.) ... “What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.” (Deut. 12:32.)
Tell that to Emperor Constantine when he and male Catholic church leaders took out chapters and stories and put in their words to make religion a main stream manipulative book telling people that there's a god with a beard sitting on a cloud casting judgement. If you knew anything about the bible you would know The Word. In the beginning there was the word and the word was light/love. Yahweh and jahovah translates to light and love and that is the true message and the word of God.
Nobody knows what ANYBODY said back then, unless they could actually write anything down. Or read it. And about, what, being generous, only 2% of the population in the world could do that. I doubt very seriously Mary had a scribe with her.
Let me tell you what the Bible left out in its account of Mary, Joseph, Mary's parents, Joseph's other children etc. First Mary's parents were trying to conceive. At the same time, they heard a voice tell them that they were going to conceive. They were not together. Mary's father was working and Mary's mother was in the house. They ran to tell each other, and when they met halfway, they realized they had the same vision. They agreed to give the child to the temple as it appeared there was something special about her. They were going to do that at the age of two, but Mary's mother couldn't part with her, and waited until she was three. She was raised in the temple by "good women" until the age of 12. When the rabbi's decided that she needed to leave the temple and go to live with her future husband. They called all the widows in town to the temple and they each brought what was described as a rod. Joseph was last in line, but a dove landed on his rod, and the rabbi's chose him, saying that God himself had chosen Joseph. Joseph knew Mary was too young, and decided to take a job out of the home. Not long after, Mary finds herself pregnant, and when Joseph is alerted, he blames himself for leaving her unattended. She actually gave birth in a cave outside of Bethlehem on the way to pay taxes. Jesus was taken into Bethlehem a few days after birth, to find a hotel, but they were all full, and they ended up staying in a stable, using the trough as a crib for the baby. There are many stories of his childhood. One I particularly like is when he and his brothers were playing in the river, and he made a bowl on the sabbath. His brother's were tattling on him, and the bowl turned into a dove and flew away. Another account was a woman that had tracked down Mary for healing from Jesus, and as Mary was hanging the clothes on the line, the woman just touched Jesus clothes and she was healed. If you want to hear more accounts of the life of Jesus, you can find them in a series of writings called the Infancy Gospels.

Mary had other children. It clearly says that Joseph KNEW her, consimated the marriage. Jesus asked his half brother to care for her when He was dying. One of His half brother's was an apostle.
This is a deception propagated by the Catholic Church. The Bible NEVER says that Joseph was married before. The brothers and sisters of Jesus mentioned in the Bible are his YOUNGER SIBLINGS, children of Joseph and Mary.
@@freedomsong9747 hi there. First off -it was the 15th day of the 7th month (Sept=7, September) when Miriam and Yosef arrived in Bethlechem (house of bread) from Netzeret (Olive branch town-not Nazareth) for the Feast Of Tabernacles-this is a pilgrimage feast that is why there was no room at the inn-people stopped over on their way to Jerusalem .in fullfilment of prophecy that He would tabernacle among us, Yosef sets up his tabernacle (sukkah=tent, booth, temporary shelter, NOT a manger-He is not an animal! ) and Miriam goes into labor. The Shepherds are still in the field, their sheep are grazing-it's a mild September evening! So, Sept=7, Oct=8, Nov=9, Dec=10, which makes Jan=11 not 1 and Feb 12 not 2 and the head of the year is in the spring when everything is coming back to life after the "dead of winter." (and they shall think to change times and laws Daniel 7:25. :)
1. Mary was 3 months pregnant when she went to visit her cousin, Elizabeth. 2. John the Baptist was 6 months older than his cousin, Jesus. 3. John was born in the spring, according to the records of Zacharias's priestly duties. 4. Six months later, in the fall, Jesus was born, while the sheep were still in the fields. Luke 1:24-37 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, 25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men. 26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible." Calculated Dates for the Births of John the Baptist and Jesus In 4 BC (Jesus’ birth is assumed to be in 3 BC from other historical evidence as well as astronomical evidence - to be presented in future Posts), Nisan 1 was the equivalent of our March 29, and the preceding Sabbath was March 24, making the week of the duties of the first priestly course from Sabbath noon, March 24, to Sabbath noon, March 31 (and the 2nd course from March 31 to April 7, etc.). The 3rd course (which started on our April 7) was interrupted by the Passover/Unleavened Bread week-long celebration, when all the priests officiated together; and this caused the 3rd course to extend its service until the Sabbath after Passover, which was April 21 in 4 BC. The period of service for the 8th course of Abijah, to which Zechariah belonged, was from May 19 to May 26. It was most likely this late spring administration when Zechariah’s service was interrupted by the angel’s appearance to him, announcing his wife’s imminent pregnancy. Because of his unbelief, he was struck dumb during his service in the Temple, which immediately disqualified him from his priestly duties (Lev. 21:16-23). Therefore, he left for home. Sometime between May 26 and June 1, Elizabeth would have conceived. She later gave birth to John the Baptist near March 10 in 3 BC (after the gestation period of 9 months and 10 days, a total of 280 days). This would place the birth of Jesus six months later (Luke 1:26-38) in the first half of September, in 3 BC. Of course, the other possibility is that the date that the angel struck Zechariah and caused him to lose his speech was during Zechariah’s second service term in the second half of the year, rather than during the first term of service in the spring. However, this is unlikely, as it would have caused the birth of John the Baptist to be near mid-September. Consequently, Jesus’ birth would have been in March, during the rainy season. William Ramsay demonstrates in his book, Born in Bethlehem, that the general time of year for the start of the census was from August to October - to encourage higher participation - and not during the rainy season in mid-March. We therefore know that Jesus was most probably not born in the spring, since we know that Joseph was taking his family to Bethlehem for the census, at which time Jesus was born. And we then conclude that Zechariah’s service in the temple when he was struck dumb was during the first half of the year rather than during the second half. From this method of calculating the birthdate of Jesus from information related to the birthdate of John the Baptist in Luke’s Gospel - as well as from information on the timing of the Roman census - we see that Jesus was most likely born in the fall of the year, probably in September. It is admittedly impossible to arrive at a specific date for the birth of either John the Baptist or Jesus based on the priestly courses and the information in Luke’s Gospel, but it helps to approximate a likely range of dates. Tishri 1 (Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets) began at sundown on September 11, 3 BC, when the day changed from Elul 30 to Tishri 1. In my next Post I will present both astronomical/zodiac evidence and a scriptural reference from Rev. 12:1-6 to “prove” that Jesus was born on September 11, 3 BC, when the astronomical signs in Revelation aligned precisely and uniquely with this specific date. Establishing the birth date of Jesus from the birth date of John the Baptist and doing so by use of precise astronomical evidence therefore appear to be in agreement. All this is building a case for the correct date of the birth of Jesus.

Right, because the Bible is inspired and inerrant and National Geographic might as well be a tabloid devoid of credibility that can’t possibly be objective. It’s called god-given intelligence so one would think the religious would understand it’s unlikely a loving god would take issue with it being employed in hopes of understanding him. But then that’s the same jealous god described in the book that tells us jealousy is a sin. And that’s just some wack smack.
She gave birth in a clean stable. On the borders of Bethlehem there was a particular stable and field watched over by holy shepherds. This field and flock was raised separately from other animals, they were clean and raised for sacrificial offering. Very clean, very symbolic. No room to offer because they traveled slower due to her being pregnant and this was a busy time when all places were simply filled up already. He was born in sacred circumstances that symbolizes Jewish law and He was offered up and killed by the very authorities that vetted lambs for sacrifice. They fulfilled the Law of Moses without even realizing it.

Actually, the vast majority of those who say that Mary the mother of Jesus died a virgin are NOT Catholic, but Islamic. The Christian Bible does not say that Mary died a virgin, but the Quran does.
She was a Virgin before Christ was born, and after until she died. The Bible doesn’t even say Mary died at all, because all the Books/Letters in them were written well before she did. Her ever virginity was foretold by the Prophets of the OT. Any idea she was not a Virgin came well after the Protestant reformation, as even people like Martin Luther declared her ever virginity. Saying anything else is blasphemy.

Isn't Joseph still Jesus's biological father though? God could've used his DNA along with Mary's when making Jesus's human form. And, as stated in the movie "Jesus of Nazareth", Mary points out that Joseph too was chosen. As for Jesus having siblings, why should it be so controversial? Even the Bible says that sex within marriage isn't sinful and Mary and Joseph were both human. Not to mention, it was common for parents to have a great amount of kids back then. Especially due to few children living to adulthood.
Jennea Cubero yeshua was supposed to be descended from the House of David, which was traced through the paternal line, ie Joseph. So was he of the house of david, therefore the son of Joseph in order to fulfill the prophecy, or the son of god. And the prophecy regarding the birth of a messiah says that a “young woman” shall bear a son...... NOT a “virgin”. The bible has been translated from one language to another to another, then edited to satisfy whichever cult was in vogue, so it’s not the word of god, it’s the various writings of various peoples over a great length of time and the written renditions of oral traditions, as best could be remembered
This video shows us clearly how arrogant cultural imperialism really is! Everywhere in the world people had babies in the animal's stable or barn. Having a baby is messy, so disposable hay covered with a blanket is both reasonable and manageable in cultures where there is little water. Even the Dalai Lama and all Tibetans prior to the diaspora were born in the stable. Throughout the Middle East, this is the case even today in rural areas. It is not always the case in cities, tho, unless the downstairs ground floor is being used for goats and sheep.
