None of this would be happening if Floyd had just complied and behaved himself. He was a drug user and repeat offender, and had few redeeming qualities. And Chauvin did not murder him. Floyd was responsible for his own death. What ever happened to personal responsibility?

Hold your camera steady, keep it pointed at the officer-civilian exchange, and do not turn it off (or turn it away), no matter what you are told to do by police officers. In the early 90's, I taught a video journalism course in Hawaii. One Saturday morning my student and I went to tape a protest by Native Hawaiians. There was a large police presence in the parking lot. As Im standing with both hands on the camera, a security guard instructed the police to arrest me. They put in a chokehold and all hell broke loose while Im pinned to the ground about to pass out. Luckily this incident was captured on tape. I won a small settlement but lost my job. I was harrassed by the local police force until I finally moved and left the usa for good. I live and vote from overseas. America has a serious corrupt police state. This verdict was long overdue. I will never live in the states again. The gop, dump and the ignorant maga sheep are the real enemies of the state.
There are bad cops in every country but for a first world democracy America has a high proportion of unsuited, poorly trained, corrupt and even racist cops.

When the first guilty verdict was read out , Chauvin didn’t even blink. When 2 & 3 guilty counts were read out, Chauvin’s eyes widened . He was genuinely shocked . It was good to see. Nelson looked forlorn. He actually thought he’d done a good job. He is a terrible lawyer . The Defence team was a team of 12 so he wasn’t alone . Maybe Nelson was chosen because they knew he was rubbish as the Minneapolis police force wanted Chauvin to be convicted . Chauvin was a ‘loose cannon’ and they wanted rid of him. I hope that the Prosecution doesn’t accept a Plea Deal regarding the other three police officers . They need to go to trial and be exposed. They need to suffer every gruelling day in court knowing the world is watching them and that they will almost certainly be declared to be guilty .
This goes back 50 years. I remember in NYC they eliminated the Civilian review broad which oversees the police. And let the police polices themselves. See how that coming along.

A couple of things the cadiologist said floyds oxygen levels were 98% so he didnt suffocate, secondly floyd said "I swallowed too much drugs" while being restrained. That's so mean of them to murder him like that.

Queens cop just did this a few weeks ago; the Queens DA Katz claims "insufficient evidence", but there is a video and eyewitnesses. NYPD does not give a damn about this trial.

I looked him up on Wikipedia. He was involved in three shootings. One resulted in death. Choked a young fourteen yr old to the point of passing out. He had countless complaints. They also gave him medals for the shootings. They should go back and look at those cases.

One of the other videos that angered me,is after George was taken away by the ambulance when Chauvin was leaving the scene, he casually got into the squad car just like any ordinary work day and then wrote a false report and there was no mention of him kneeling on George’s neck. Today is a historic day. Its the day America said officially "Police are not above the law" They claim they know they're not but act opposite on those words.
There's should be an Internal Affairs Service similar in other police forces around the world works like the Judge Advocate General in the military, if any officer commits an offense he/she will face trial in a civilian court no just dismissing from the service.
@@TheZaius Flip phones had cameras too. If not at first, then pretty quickly after their introduction. Before flip phones however were hershey bar phones which didn't have cameras. I had at least a couple of those in the beginning.
