Nintendo never makes Paper Mario games like this anymore. Good thing TTYD remake is coming! One of my favorite GameCube classic.

They added new sprites for the partners. They have BACKS.

One of my favorite games, I was so excited to hear it was being remade 🎉🎉 let’s cross our fingers for more GameCube remakes or ports

I had the game when I was really little, I was just a fan of Mario, but I never understood the gameplay back then, so I gave up on it. I also had Paper Mario 64, and the same story happened there, too. But, when I finally revisited Paper Mario 64 on Switch Online, I couldn’t believe what I missed out on, it was amazing. I then needed something to scratch the itch Paper Mario 64 left, so I played Bug Fables, which was very good for what it was trying to be. I also played Born of Bread, which was also a Paper Mario inspired game. Outbound Ghost was probably the worst of the games inspired by it. I also played Super Mario RPG to scratch the itch. Then, when Nintendo announced the remake of The Thousand Year Door, I was immediately hooked, and now I just wait these 23 days until I get my second chance on the game.

I'm so GLAD the internet is gushing over this game ❤❤❤❤ it deserves all the attention

1:09 the remake swaps the colors of files 1 and 4 so file 1 is blue and file 4 is yellow

Is there anything added to the game or is it just a one to one with quality of life updates?

Finally! It`s nice to see this game get remade for the next generation (though I hope there will be an option to switch the gameplay visual style from Switch to Gamecube like Wonder Boy: The Dragons Trap port did). The closest I got to seeing anything with this game getting rereleased prior was a crossover fic between this games story and the cast of Ed, Edd n Eddy (though it did make me picture this amazing version where the worlds/levels were expanded with a lot more story and content, a battle system that added more style to the existing theater theme and level ups and new moves that can be learned outside of combat). Rougeport would also be this special hub world where you can traverse as any of the original games characters and cul-de-sac kids, swapping them out at these marked benches that has the selected character and prior character share some hilarious dialogue before the game moves on. Specific characters also have side quests (like one would have Koops go save Eddy after he scams Don Pianta and pisses him off, another where Jimmy wants to make a fancy cake in a new diner location and partakes in a Cooking Mama parody and another where Goombella discovers a book she always wanted is being sold at an auction but needs to collect more coins as the biding price keeps going up by an old rival from her university).

I hope after this game releases, we get a remake of Super Paper Mario for Switch 2 coming out either Fall of 2026 or Spring of 2027

Ya mean like they changed the dialog of the 3 Goombas that hit on goombella which why would ya do that they are bad guys that makes us wanna beat them more

I believe you learned it's just a perfect time for this Remake, because the Original Nintendo Gamecube Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door game is a freaking 20 years old game what makes me to feel old even without playing the Game, there is some diffrences between the Original game and a Remake and this is the Best HD Remake in 2024 and maybe the Best Remake of All Time what Nintendo have ever made. Can't wait my the most Expected Nintendo Switch game in 2024, I'll wait this more than even Luigi's Mansion 2 HD Remake, but that'd will be awesome too, defienitily because Luigi's Mansion 3 on Switch was my first-ever-played Luigi's Mansion game and I don't have 2 on 3DS sadly, but gladly the Remake is coming in june. Ppaer Mario TTYD and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD Remakes can't wait i'm so excited here we go wahoo! ❤💚

It doesn't seem this remake is gonna have any new secret bosses or new badges or anything like that. I'm personally fine with it. It's ok for a remake to just be a remake. However, rebalancing some unused items/badges like the hustle drink and the Berserker Badge and adding them back in would've been pretty cool. Along with some other unused stuff. Hell, if we got boss rematches like Super Mario RPG that would be pretty awesome. Again. The game doesn't need anything like this, and the new stuff we have seen is already more then what we asked for. I'm not disappointed that there probably won't be any new big additions to this game. I'm just glad this exists and hope it does well enough for intelligent systems to continue with this style instead of those other three games.

Fingers crossed that this time Nintendo of America is ready to admit that Vivian is trans. I’ll buy it either way, but it’d be nice.

Censoring cat calling and the game runs at 30fps,...no thanks,..i just emulate the GCN on my steam deck instead
