Drives a Lamborgini into the shop, kicks a Bentley, then gets excited when the VCR in his Chevy van plays. You are a complicated and possibly insane man Tyler.
"Why would anyone do this?" he asks in his 10 car garage while a hired crew strings up lights on his mansion, before driving his Lamborghini to the shop and brings his G wagon home... Can't think of a single reason. lol
@@TheIanevans1 lol, it's the buddy price to get people like you to check out his shop. and it's a damned good tactic since its gonna work(i can't blame him either, mans gotta eat after all).
@@emeyer6963 - He's making ALL of that, probably much more. RU-vid pays well. I read about some 9 yr old kid toy reviewer who's making over $22M a year. Ridiculous. Ryan's World. 27M subs.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH It's crazy.I follow a truck driver and his exploits in the business. He has a little over 47000 subscribers and makes a video a day with 5000 views or so per video. He made $5600 last month.Hoovie has a lot of videos through the years plus other business ventures so you are probably right. He is doing very well!
It’s kind of a meme from the beginning of the channel, back then he probably did lose a lot of money from the cars, it was like an investment. Now he’s making a killing
@Archimedes Maybe you mean you find his words about as trustworthy as a used car salesman's in which case I'd fully agree. He also is actually a used car salesman. But his humor has run its course, in my valueless opinion. I'm glad his channel helped me find the Car Wizard, whom I genuinely like watching.
@@egnaro-hm1bd Maybe buy a tow truck, but something a bit esoteric. Like a late 2000's(with all the unreliable emissions equipment) diesel Benz Sprinter flat bed tow truck, like they use in Europe. Or maybe a 2000's Ford flatbed with the 6.0 Powerstroke diesel. So that way it will be a gamble if the tow truck with the broken car on its back makes it to the shop. That would be quality content right there, ridiculous number of views.
@@MrMarker0001 My biggest complaint was those rear tires (Yokohama) cost so much to replace and there was no chance of catching one with low pressure prior to it ripping apart from the rim.
I’ve replaced heated seats before on cars. It’s actually not that bad a job if you wanted to tackle it in your garage. A bit labor intensive but not impossible. I personally would do it on a car like that Mercedes only because it has leather seats and that would drive me absolutely crazy. But yeah if you get the part from Mercedes-Benz which will probably cost you an arm and a leg it can be done by the average DIYer. I’m sure JR could help you out with that in fact. The headliner you could probably fix with pins and that should take care of it if you don’t wanna spend a whole lot of money on it.
That was the trippyist VHS I’ve ever seen The color is out on the TV You need to get the VHS head cleaned Or the tape had gotten wet or left in the sun Or bad feed/dirty feed into TV VHS is a lot higher quality than that lol Even if it’s a little old
If you notice, they are playing with the knob. It's for copyright reasons. They don't need a strike if YT decides that the video is good enough to claim one.
"I don't know why anyone would want to live like this," Tyler says. Meantime, he has paid workers putting up his Christmas decorations on the mansion. Got it!
"Yes I'm so useless I can't even hang Christmas lights myself." Ahahahahaha! Don't fret brother, that high up I wouldn't be hanging them myself either!
Time for a brand new yacht for the, wizard for Christmas. Or Tyler is going to handover his keys of his land yacht over to the wizard happy sailing wizard
Wizard charges Tyler a substantially discounted rate (~$65/hr) and doesn't seem to bill all the hours actually spent on the car. The previously ~$3000 bill for the Bentley that had sat in the shop for months seems a bit low.
It’s amazing that companies like Bentley allow such little robustness; that the overall functioning of the vehicle can depend on one very small component.
I am a mechanic and enjoyed working on old European and Asian foreign cars. They are awesome! I want to thank you all for putting my family through college! Kids if you're looking for a good trade with potential, European luxocars are great!
“We will have to take all of the wood off of the dash” That is literally 2 minutes. It’s held in with 4 little chrome retainers that surround the vent pulls.
I'm surprised you didn't say: "the Bentley took a turn to the worse" I guess, it's a missed opportunity. However, It's a Bentley, so sooner or later it will present itself again.
That van is so cool, I love those. You would've liked the van my uncle had 35 years ago. It had shag carpet floor to ceiling, a couch and table, portal windows in the back. Totally a 70s van.
I am so glad that, while I have had to do a lot to my 1992 Honda Civic over the past 7 years of ownership, it has been a treat to work on, and I love it. Most recently put new front lower control arms on it and brand new 205/50/15 tires on the Integra wheels I bought for it 4 years ago. And the only thing to date, that I have not done myself on the car, is the windshield replacement. It may be a never ending repair job, but I love my little shitbox.
I want to thank you sir! It has been a month or two that I have actually smiled and enjoyed much! My parents had one of those conv. vans they had done themselves and we took several ski trips in the early 80's that were so fun and, stress free! So thanks again and I enjoy your stuff! So keep it up and by all means buy more!!
There are laser alignment tools for serpentine belts. Mine is made by Dayco. They can really find a misaligned pulley very quickly and the belt will run smooth and quiet.
An ideal for your Car Ninja. A buddies car did the same thing after a pad change. He had a car that varied the braking on each wheel based on the traction it felt the car had. The flexy section of hoses between hard line and caliper has a steel mesh reinforcement in the rubber. The mechanic let the caliper hang by the hose while changing the pads. The steel mesh broke in one hose. So the hose flexed due to fluid pressure like a bubble at the tear causing a strange pedal feel. It only happens when the car is sending extra pressure to that hose. That's why pedal feel is inconsistant in his car. Maybe yours too?
As someone who owns hoopties as a matter of course (I like paid-off cars), I see a lot of the same results on a much smaller scale. I can't afford more than 1 hooptie, and in between the times when it's working, I have to take public transit.
Wizard, Wizard, Wizard! You reminded me when you mentioned a battery in the module. When you remove the security module, remove the seat control computer as well. It also has a battery inside and it absolutely TRASHES the PCB and microcontroller chip (which is obsolete) when it leaks.
I don't like car cruelty, but this one might actually deserved that fate... such utter piece of rubbish. It's not even that good-looking... looks like a giant brick.
This Bentley reminds me of my 72 mini. It spent a long time being repainted and fixing all the body issues. Then sent out the carburetor to get rebuilt..but then on the way home the engine crapped itself and has sat ever since.
On a small block Chevrolet engine, it is the power steering pump pulley that is designed to be adjustable to bring it into alignment. It involves a puller to move the pulley along the shaft to bring it into alignment. Perhaps the Lambo is setup the same way?
Is that a Mitsubishi Starion I spy in the wizards workshop? Looks like the wide body version, LOVE the look of those things and always wanted one. Very few still about here in the UK
Hoovie have you considered swapping the drivers seat and the passengers seat in the G-Wagon? If they're symmetrical and the passengers heat works of course.
@@buggerlugz6753 Depends on the year. By 86 or 87 the wide bodies had intercoolers, but all flatties in the US were non-intercooled. I'm honestly a bit surprised because I'm in the same town as the wizard's shop and I thought the only other one other than mine was a white one.
Just getting ready to post the same thing. It came out during my high school/college years, so there was no way I could get one. I'd love to pick one up now, but I've heard replacement parts are incredibly hard to find.
@@Blippity_Bloop64 It's a bit of a mix. For body and interior parts your only options are used only, but there are a few people still making suspension parts. The drivetrain is mostly Mitsubishi parts bin so it's not horrible. Biggest issue is just staying on top of the non-sealed electrical connectors and the 2.6L forklift motor they gave the US. Now I'll admit I race my car and I'm far from easy on it, but I'm going to an engine swap after my g54b lost a thrust bearing. That was the third OEM engine I've put in the car. Unfortunately I think parts are going to continue to get more scarce due to the limited numbers still on the road. I personally can't recommend buying one.
My 996 heated seat element went out and the dealer had one for $150 which included a new cushion. I had a local upholstery shop instal said cushion. All total $300 . Lear corporation was the manufacturer for the cushion and heating element
This channel is awesome. I was laughing so dang hard because i can relate about the self inflicted wounds we cause ourselves sometimes owning too many cars.
If you going to bring your AMG 4X4 to an upholstery shop maybe you can get them to swap out the heater elements in the seats? I bet you can buy 3rd party elements for cheap and hand them over to the upholstery shop and it would be a lot cheaper than if you had the Wizard do it..
little muriatic acid wihth tiny bit of water scrubed into the driveway for a few minutes will bring the oil up.. You can get it any hardware store or pool store. Like the video at the end.
That as a most beautiful blue Jag. I except coming videos from wizard on that red Chrysler conquest....and any of those cars could be your next hooptie. :)
i had a old conversion van come into the shop a month ago. i was like oo and i went to the spot Tyler went to and flipped switches and the lights came on it had its vcr and tv working
Wizard would need to remove the dash top/roll top and then the alarm ECU cones out. Bowling Engineering UK would rebuild and upgrade it with new key fobs and bake the boot alarm key fob receiver redundant and the ECU would no longer need the internal batteries, which may have leaked. 'They all do it'. Unscrew the organ stops and remove wood and then roll top removal is possible.
