Scotty Kilmer Scotty Kilmer can you do a video on the best luxury car to buy. Mean cost repair, fuel effecienty and resale? I have a 09 C-300, Mercedes and I am thinking about going elsewhere. I really like the dodge challengers. However I want a fuel efficient luxury car.

If you have the resources to do this with your son and he's a car guy then this will be the single most important thing you'll ever do with/for him. I learned everything I know about cars when my dad helped me rebuild a '69 Mustang while was a teen in the 80s, taking out the blown up 302 and swapping in a 351C from his mother's junked station wagon. Nothing else has trumped that experience with my father and all I've ever had to do is keep up with the lastest technology and updates in the auto industry.

Every teenage boy or girl who builds their own car appreciates it a lot more than something given to them. And sooner or later they'll regret ever selling it.

I bought my first car 30 years ago. It was a 1968 Corolla KE10 2 door that had been parked about a year or so. It needed a bit of love...and a whole lot of brakes. I paid $300 for it, figured I'd just drive it til I found something better. What did I drive to the store today? Yup.

Your Falcon looks awesome! Great work. I had the same color combo as you on a car I had. Flat black with blue stripes.

Save the looks for last, put your money in the mechanics first. A pretty car doesn't do you any good on the side of the road. They're still pretty simple to work on at that time and parts should be plentiful. If something ain't broke...tear it apart and rebuild it anyway. Good Luck!.

👋 hi, 19 years old, 67 falcon sports coupe small block 302 with a 21 circuit painless wiring harness 600 cfm 4 barrel edelbrock with a high energy ignition and longtube headers with a flowtech glass pack. And some other stuff I forgot haha. Falcons are such an amazing car one of the original economy cars. "The short limousine" most people called it. Back in 64 they had a endurance race with the Falcon's to see if they could push them to their max and fail and not a single car broke. They are truly amazing cars I will say that

Total dedication and 100% Hart and soul. Nice to see young kids do it the Old way instead of playing with the PlayStation now you can look at it and say with pride I did that and no one can ever take lat away from you

My first car was a 65 Falcon (Not wagon) It was a year old when I bought it. I loved that car and drove it till 1971 when I got a Ford F100 pick up.

Aluminum heads and less than 300 HP? Engine either has way too small of a cam or way too much combustion chamber. And I'll take that 650 carb off yer hands since you don't wanna fix the choke :) Sweet old car even if it is fuel injected!
@baronsable6173
@baronsable6173 6 лет назад
yeah the "250 hp" number was bugging me too. Safe to say those aluminum heads aren't working out lol.

@user-ue6iv2rd1n 6 лет назад
at only 4500 though not that bad?
@Impactjunky
@Impactjunky 6 лет назад
@111 111 Actually it is pretty bad, I'd hate to say anything negative about the kids car cause it's pretty sweet but that's the weakest motor with aluminum heads I've ever seen. Cast iron is more resistant to warpage and lends itself better to long term daily driving and potential overheating issues. Aluminum heads on an old V8 will warp after running hot just once so this motor has all the disadvantages of aluminum heads but none of the power benefits. I'm sure it does drive a little better with the weight reduction provided though.

Impact's Garage and Gaming what should it make with these specs? 2:06
@Impactjunky
@Impactjunky 6 лет назад
@Baron Sable I didn't actually read the spec sheet until now so thanks for asking and thanks for the time stamp. I can see it has good compression at 10.0:1 but the lift on the cam is pretty lackluster, in fact it's barely better than the stock amount of lift in the 66 model solid lift 273 Cuda engine I used to have in my Roadrunner. This is definitely the cams fault and they also didn't run it quite to max RPM on the dyno either. I'm no engine builder but that's probably the smallest cam I've ever seen in a built dyno'd motor with aluminum heads. It was probably a safety measure to keep the kids car first car from being dangerously powerful while making that easy to fix. If the kid and his dad want 400 Horsepower later on down the road it's just a cam change away as it certainly has enough compression and flow to support that much power or more.

MV60 They abandoned them because consumers enjoy stis for daily driving. The evo is to much of a race car for the bitch asses anyway.

And the lancer is still the one from 2007, no upgrades at all. Mitsubishi just couldn't be bothered is the real reason, they don't care about their product.

Get rear ended even at a low speed and you have a pretty high risk of neck injury because of no headrests. It doesn't even have seatbelts. A good car for conventions or special events, but not for daily driving.
@n_u001
@n_u001 6 лет назад
Joe Figueroa no it isn't. No airbags, no seatbelts, bench seats that do not support you, no headrest, you will be seriously injured or die if you get into a collision with this car.
@showgirlsaroundtheworldada4484
he said he modified the under carriage and they put all that money into it...i would assume they did not overlook the undercarriage in this matter....if you want dangerous then look up vw and see why that old bug was terminated for many years....i just dont have the time to babysit the safety of a old ford right now . but the old cars have so much more on the new generation computerized cars of today....i guess you had to be there*

Just stumbled across this video of your car, Jesse. Very well done build. I see a lot of comments saying they had similar cars, but would like to say that I had this exact same car - white (as yours was originally) '65 Falcon wagon, that I bought from my auto shop teacher in 1982 for $50. I was 16 and my dad was unemployed at the time, so no $$ to do too much to it. Was limited to what I could do in shop class for little to no cost. It got totaled in 1984, but I've had a fondness for these ever since. Am 55 now and looking to get myself one as a project. Hope it turns out as good as yours!

Good job! This is the type of thing we did in the 80's growing up. The old cars were still pretty cheap in the 80's. I bought a 69 Camaro for 1500 bucks. A 72 Camaro rs for a grand. Those are just a couple of the old cars I had as a kid. Good job man.
