This video is about why I have not upgraded my 2014 Yamaha R1 to the newest/latest model Yamaha R1. This was my dream bike when I first started riding and after owning it for 2 years I am still very very happy with my bike.
Solid video. I have the exact same bike. I hate limited editions. 14 was the last year for just an R1 before the M crap started. That 9 to 14 look is awesome 👍
I couldn't agree more with you on Your views and I'm getting a lot of stick off my boys because I want the standard 2014 cbr1000rr because they are bullet proof and cheap for a nice one with low mileage, and its just raw bike, maybe not everyone's cup of tea but hey that's what makes us unique 👍🏼👊🏼😎
I bet that in a few years they will come out with an undertail for the new R1. Just how it went from 98 - 03 with side exhaust to 2004 with the undertail.
I understand that it helps with weight distribution, but it's the cleanest look for sure! 🔥 Looking forward to what Yamaha will do with the new R1 in the future...thank you for watching 🤘🏾
One thing you forgot is that the new r1 is so tiny 😩😩 I’m a big dude so in my opinion the 09-14 is the most comfortable liter bike ever produced. I had a 09 sold it and bought a 13 lent it to my boy to go to a party and someone stole it🤬🤬. Now i have another 13 and everyone of my r1s had to have that TOCE BABY.🤙🤙... good video bro. We’re you able to see those clips that I uploaded ???
Thank you I agree! Im a larger guy as well and definitely prefer a bigger bike comfort wise...I also look normal on it 🤣 I still cant see those clips you uploaded for some reason...😕
Agreed with pretty much all ur points. I had 2 strong opportunities to buy the new gen r1. I could’ve got a used 2018 with like 2500 miles for 11700 Raven edition with a decent amount of mods..then a couple months ago I was looking at a 2019 red brand new r1 that was a leftover so they were selling it for 13,399. I also could’ve afforded them both but everytime I look at my 2014 there’s just something about it. It’s so menacing looking. Also I’ve put about 1500-2000$ that doesn’t include the exhaust into mods for it. Also that dual exhaust is an absolute deal breaker for me .. I couldn’t do with out it lol. I also just got xplaner1’s ecu flash on it and it’s literally a whole new bike again. There’s pretty much nothing about the new one that I like more then the 09-14 lol. I could say so much more but this pretty much sums it up lol !
I agree with all of your points as well! That under tail dual exhaust paired with the aggressive styling of that front fairing gets me every time! I still need to get my ecu flashed...looking forward to seeing what Yamaha does with the next generation though!
Its the same as the older ones really Same with the new r6 only the plastics changed and you really don't fucking need electronics on bikes All you need is the basics and maybe a gas guage Even the mudguards on the new bikes are the same if you eye it just right now much has change some of these new machines aren't actually worth their price
I love the angry look no doubt.. the new R1 looks like you said slike and modern but. looks like iron man's mask.. is idk cool.. but the angry 😡 look is way more attractive..
I don't like the Yamaha R1 2016 onwards the front end reminds me of a catfish😂 I don't like the ergonomics. I'm being offered an 2014 R1 with a very low mileage(factory overuns) and I'm going to get it coz this is the coolest looking bike for me😎 I'm not racing anyways✌
😂😂 that's awesome! Congrats on the new bike! Looking forward to seeing what Yamaha does with the next gen R1...thank you for watching 🤘🏾 #FastLaneGang🏁
@@FastLaneD yup I think I'm done with the 200-300ccs😂 I have chosen the 2014 R1 and 2008 Honda CBR brand new factory overuns, I'm kinda oldschool when it comes to bikes and I don't want to depend on riding aids. Bro, why ride so fast when we look so good and cool riding slow?😎
