Im actually pulling for Mingo this year. Even if hes a replacement for Theilan in the slot, im ok with that.

Me too but when you look at what we have it's going to be hard for him to get a real chance just think we have djack lugette and Adam tremble and Sanders then we have are RBs that's good catching out the backfield not saying it's not possible but it's going to be tough but I hope he does great

@@thaking4160 Mingo was a rookie last year, and had a great college career. We can't be so quick to write him off his second year, but patient with Bryce? They BOTH had terrible rookie years....Give em both a 2nd year, and go from there.

@@PanthersAdviceyou know, and this might be a stretch considering the amount of work it could take, but i would love to see a breakdown on how those defensive rookies did last year. Guys like Jammie Robinson and DJ Johnson. Heck we spent a couple picks just trading up for him! I can't find any content whatsoever breaking down their limited snaps, so you'd have the market all to yourself (for fanatics like myself lol). That being said, i definitely understand that could be alot of work 😂

We didn't see the greatest catch of last year (which I am almost certain was Mingo). He is heading toward the sideline, stretches his body out over the sideline, pulls in the ball and manages a toe-tap for a fabulous reception that seemed to defy the laws of physics.

We have a lot of unproven players but in June I like where we're at. Jonathan Brooks vs Bijan Robninson. JT Sanders vs Pitts? Dionte Johnson vs Drake London? Thielen, Leggett vs Mooney and Moore. Of course the edge is to ATL's proven players but out potential is there.

New offense vs New offense, I think we've seen what most of ATL players can do except for Pitts. He's going to get his shot this year for sure. As for Carolina, I think all those players need to compliment each other to be honest. To really captilize on DJ, we've gotta have a run game... Bring the DB's up and then bomb over the top.

I’m rooting for Mingo but man he seems REALLY raw, probably better as a short yardage/screen/gadget guy….best skill seems to be run after catch

When PNP was on cut to it with Steve Smith Smith did say he's a 2 to 3year project so his projection is on point. Unfortunately I don't think he's going to get a good chance kinda like last year but maybe a Few more targets but not a tone just think we have djack lugette and Adam tremble and Sanders then we have are RBs that's good catching out the backfield

If you can't evaluate Bryce due to the oline you can't evaluate Mingo either.

Two different positions, with that being said... Look at my last video of Bryce at OTA's. I go back to last year OTA's and his pro day and talk about his bad footwork. In the video I talk about him not checking down too. With Mingo, it's not hard to see where he dominates and where he struggles.

@PanthersAdvice Yeah agreed I also feel it's hard to fully evaluate Mingo due to bad QB play. If or when Bryce play better it's not unlikely we won't see a better Mingo.

TMJ 2.0 , Coker will hopefully replace Thelien in 2025. Thelien in 2025 is slotted to make 8.1+ million and if we cut him post June 1st we free up $7.0+ million so AT19 will not be in Carolina after 2024 plus he will be 35 in Aug of 25. As far as Mingo was a head scratching move, basically we drafted a healthier version of TMJ. Big Bodied guy that runs below average routes, questionable hands at times but flashy how good he can be on occasion. TMJ is doubful to make the team in 24 out of preseason but Mingo was a reach in the draft in 23 and for that matter so was DJ Johnson OLB/EDGE rusher out of Oregon. FITT is gone, Morgan / Canales are on the same page and remember in 2025 with a few more moves Carolina should be in top five in salary cap space in the league which is also a good thing all the dead money is getting paid off this year. Next year though cutting Thelien if not trading him etc.. long before hand just makes to much sense.

Damn you know your stuff, good shiiii. DJ was def a reach I agree, very raw to that position. Seemed to be a trend for the Panthers last few years. That's why it was nice they went big with Brooks and XL. Two guys have shown they can do it all.
