@@antolivdiaz good. Don't think 7 yr olds could get gold metal on Ayrton Senna's last race in gt6. Btw i don't get how can people like the huracan with its ugly front headlight and the less gracious lines. The huracan is the ugliest lambo followed by gallardo 2nd Gen. All other lambos look very good
I'd add another reason for the "Murcy" to have retained so much value: it's the last Lamborghini to have been built around their original V12, which came out into production since their very first car, the 1964 350 GT. That's a piece of history, and probably it's also it to make this car so special and valuable.
And what a masterpiece this Lambo V12 was. I'd even go as far as to say it's the greatest V12 engine of all time, simply because of its longevity and illustrious history.
Gas Drawls He said over 10 years and I'm sure he didn't mean 10 years and 1 day lmaooo. I'm not making fun of him I love Doug I was just pointing something out.
Freak129 nope the Countach looks a TON better presumably it's designed by Marcello Gandini not a Damn BELGIAN and made when Lamborghini is still a independent company and not in ownership by VW's subsidiary audi
He said one of. Obviously the Countach and Diablo are at the top. But this car deserves to be up there too. Not to mention the sound. The Huracan doesn't come close to any.
yeah. the looks, simple yet gorgeous, not too complicated like the aventador. the price is lower. the engine sound is unbeatable (maybe the Lexus Lfa can compete)
Yeah the aventador definitely has a more audi look. I think when it came out it was very unique but then audi kind of based a lot of their cars on the same design ethos maybe? I dont know. I'm not a designer, but a lot of the edges on an audi rs6 from 2017 plus look like they came straight from the aventador.
Stormer248 ya the fish is probably the most subtle "mod" I've seen on a Lambo (I believe it adds horsepower right?) The wheels upset me much much more.
>Makes videos well known for pointing out quirks >Doesnt mention the seatbelts being in the center as opposed to the door Im dissapointed Doug. Btw, that mystery button is launch control
Apple Bee Yeah, we (pop culture) do that with almost everything: Merci = Murcielago Lambo = Lamborghini Masi = Maserati Caddy = Cadillac Rari = Ferrari etc...
+Diana McFarland That's to be expected though because its a special limited edition. More than likely the more years that go by the more valuable the SV will become because its not a typical Mercielago
The Murcielago is arguably the last breed of the 'old' Lamborghini: extremely impractical, WTF button locations, stuff breaking when it feels like it, heavy everything, visibility...what visibility? The Aventador is more powerful, but the Audi ownership is seeping through; it has driver assistance, GPS, a smooth shifting gearbox etc. The Gallardo was the first Lambo to feel that way, and the Huracan is now pretty much an R8 with different clothes. Is it a better "car"? Most definitely, but what made Lambos mesmerizing is their temperamental behavior. It is like dating a really hot but high maintenance Italian supermodel. You keep wondering 90% of the time "why am I putting myself through this?" and then at moments like 6:01 and 7:47, you are like "well whatever let's have fun".
Trades46 Chris Harris, who has some experience of these things, swears the R8 is a lot more fun to drive on roads then the Huracan. Mind you, reading between the lines, I think he believes Lambos are designed by the marketing dept. My instinct is that he's right.
I agree with you, but the ISR transmission in the Aventador actually shifts really hard in Corsa mode. Now I haven't ridden in one so I can't speak for any Lambo's behavior but I've seen a lot of videos. The Audi stuff is definitely a lot more evident in that car though. The Murc is so much simpler you'd never guess they were made one after the other.
I remember when i saw first time a Lamborghini, in those days there was a mystery behind these cars. Car companies now listen stupid reviews a turn what was once a supercar, into a VW golf with a V12
Phos9 lol, that's the exact opposite of what Chris Harris said. I haven't driven either, or even dated an Italian super model, so hey... what the hell do I know?!
simple answer is yes... sad reality is this... was looking to purchase a 2007 lp640 manual but was about to have a kid so i held off, car had 5.5k miles on it and was a 6spd and sold for 235k, very same car sold at RM Auction bout 6m later for 285k plus 5% buyers premium, so thats 300k... goodluck trying to find an LP manual for anything less than 325k now... there is one listed in green w 8.2k miles and they are asking 380k... if im not mistaken they made less than 20 manuals in the LP series... dont bet your life on it, but im pretty sure im right
Freimopp777 yep... think they made 4 of them and 2 are in the states... one is white, i would die knowing ive accomplished everything in life if i got my hands on that bad boy! Haha
IMO one of the top 10 most beautiful cars ever. It strikes that perfect balance between sleek, low, and sexy, and angry, menacing, and muscular without being over styled or having any bad angles.
...Or for the same $215K I could have a brand spankin' new Mclaren 570S MSO in matte white with carbon fiber up the yingyang and a tune/exhaust from Fabspeed.
I went for a 180 mph ride in one of these last weekend and it was an amazing experience. I've never been in a vehicle that was that stable at speeds over 100. It didn't feel like you were going anywhere near as fast as you were and could turn at speed like it was on rails. The sound of that V12 out of aftermarket exhaust was intoxicating. Not the most popular Lambo, but incredible none the less.
FMG Flame no it's not. The Diablo came out in the 90s while this car that he's reviewing was built in 2008, which was the release year for GTA 4, the first game with the pegassi infernus featured. Coincidence? I don't think so. Mystery? Maybe. Hotel? Trivago. Plus, look at the headlights. The Diablo's don't look anything like the infernus.
@@jesusserrano8769 LOL. It is Spanish Bro. every car from Lambo has been named after a Spanish Bull from the Spanish corridas de Toros - Go home, Dude. You're drunk.
Are you fucking stupid it's the owner's car you idiot. No one can stop him for doing whatever he wants in his own car you're just jealous because you have no car like this jackass!
Jesus said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven. Quite ironic that they put a Jesus fish on a Lambo, I wonder if they’ve even read the book of their own religion.
According to vinwiki there are under 30 2007-2009 LP640s in the North America... didn’t notice how rare they are especially since i know someone who owns one
Anyone notice how Doug continually insists he's "not all that large" when talking about headroom, space and entry/exit? Doug, you're about 6'4" making you literally on average one of the tallest people in the world, statistically. Easily in the top 1%.
These types of videos make me look at cars so much more differently than i do before them. Someone i know has the Alfa Romeo 4C and before i saw his video on it i thought it was a cool car. now if i see it i think "man that car is tiny and uncomfortable with no storage. with this car i now think, its a nice car, but weird.
That's cool about Doug, he's one of a dozen reviewers who is brutally honest. I've noticed when I'm honest about Press Cars, it hasn't hurt me from getting others (unless it's useless and not constructive like, "this car is rubbish"), haha. You can do that when you're smaller (and the company isn't an advertiser).
N8yi Gaming One of the reasons I love Doug is because he's not like all of the other "car guys". He tries to get cars that may not have been reviewed as much as other cars. More importantly, he keeps it real.
almost, but the strong sylable is "cie" not "la" as all english channels try to say. they try the hardest about pronouncing porshe right but dont even try to say murcielago right
eeeerr, NO. its meant to be proncunced in spanish like el camino, el sol or the santa fe. there is a video in youtube of how to pronunce murcielago, just search "how to pronunce murcielago lamborghini", that is the correct one
Tez PLP to a point yeah, but as in the dash cluster looks cheep for the car, the steering wheel imo doesn't look like a wheel that lamborghini should have went for, than the centre dash where they installed a doubled in head unit that looks like you can buy from an auto part shop, and the climate control looks a bit tacky, I love the car don't get me wrong but it could be designed way better on the inside
Tez PLP the 2008 gallardo, look at the steering wheel compared to the mercielago, dash, centre console, you can see more time went into the entry level car,
Yes, any Christian that has a successful church, TV program and millions of book sales that people freely choose to buy should only drive a crap car like you do.
I don't like supercars but I would love to own one of these, not to mention dat sound, best lamborghini of all time to me, I think all the new stuff looks ridiculous.
