@@DanielRD-91 I was lucky enough to get a 95km 1999 s8 model with a rebuilt engine... I've done 115km now with no issues. It is still twin turbo but has a panspeed ecu, straight through exhaust, FMIC alloy radiator and is 330hp at the wheels which is enough for me. its a street car and thats what i wanted. When you get one do the life support mods, services, care for it and you'll love it. no regrets here.... only that it has doubled in price and my insurance has gone up...I don’t intend on selling it...ever! get one before its to late but do your home work and get a compression test done before purchase!

These are going for stupid money today. Bone stock examples in excellent condition now sell for $45-50,000.

Devil's Advocate - The Rotary Engine is a 4 stroke and must be treated as one. It displaces 2.6lt when compared to a piston engine. That's fact. Apples to apples.

@@knightsportsfc3s it is still a 4 stroke (no arguments there), I was comparing combustion events to a 2 stroke, not saying it actually was a 2 stroke. Maybe you misinterpreted the post or didn't read it completely? But the FACT is when comparing a rotary to a reciprocating 4 stroke in a 'capacity' context a 13b is NOT a 2.6. It is still a 1.3. Swept volume (the measure of capacity) is still swept volume, twice the combustion events per chamber as a reciprocating 4 stroke engine per shaft revolution does not change that fact. That was the crux of my argument. Due to twice the combustion events per chamber per shaft revolution of a rotary compared to a reciprocating 4 stroke, many people say 'it's really a 2.6 because of those extra combustion events'. What I was getting at is if that is their reasoning, then to be consistent they should also consider any 2 stroke reciprocating engine using the x2 formula because that also has twice as many combustion events, just like the rotary. We know most will say that's silly, which it is, just like saying the capacity of a 13b is really a 2.6(which it isn't)! Again, the x2 factor (2.6 for 13b) however is a reasonable 'apples to apples' comparison of performance equivalence (handy for racing formula parity) due to the '2 stroke nature' (that is in combustion events per chamber per shaft revolution which is more akin to a 2 stroke) of a rotary. That is not saying it is a 2 stroke, it is just saying the number of combustion events per chamber per shaft revolution is the same.

McLarenDrives 2 VTS engine would drop straight in, K20 would be much better but you'll have a job getting the mounts for one of them 😂

The Japanese market RX7 started having Mazda badges from 1999 onward. Before that they had efini badging with a Wankel shaped logo.

@@xavier.c1589 . Where are you looking? I could literally find a mint condition rc7 for 40k all day. When you around for importing a car professionally it can cost upwards of $4,500. Good condition rx7's in America cost the same as it would to import one from japan. You just don't go on the American forums, craigslist or fb market place. Some people put stupid prices but those cars never sell, I saw a rolling chassis last year selling for $20k they still were not able to sell the car. To conclude most rx7's when eligible to import will be the same price as the American ones accounting for several factors of importation. Send me a rx7 with 100,000 miles going for 40k. Not a example with major modifications.

Ha ha that would be a bit over the top. I just cleaned off the sucker marks from the cameras and the fingers. no stress at all.

The motorcycle engine feel is the least pure part about it. Why? It's supposed to feel like a car. I had one and loved it but reving high is only cool if you've got low end torque too.

@@MrDanieljanes They are. Everyone says they're reliable if you maintain them. A truly reliable car just needs oil at specific intervals, along with belt changes and air filters. That's about it.

@@DanielRD-91 Unfortunately I had to sell the car due. Family happened ;) But I have since then bought an FC Turbo. But I can't say much about it since I have yet to drive it. Hopefully this summer. The FD was one of the most fun cars I have ever owned. Also most impractical. As a daily driver or a car used to grocery shopping isn't really ideal. But those summer days crusing by the oceanside or ripping some backroads will never be forgotten. One day I hope to get another. I never had any issues with mine. But I wanted to restore some parts from previous ownership. Like missing speaker grills or fenderliners. All these parts were super expensive. But it's the same with any exotic car. My current FC Rx7 is the same. There are no cheap parts if something breaks or needs to be replaced due to wear. I'm currently restomodding mine because there were tons of 90s parts in it. My ECU died and I had to replace it. And that began the long road of "I might aswell.." syndrome. So far I am about $5500 into it in parts and have never driven it. An FD might have it easier getting parts but still you will end up putting in alot. But in the end it might be worth it. Not everyone drives an Rx7 ;)

I think Jamie is more concerned with his next meal than his next car.

The S2000 is slightly too small for someone over 6ft, otherwise it's great.

Ek9 is 8400 stock, 8000 for a rotary is nothing to be impressed with
