Depending on the environment they grew up in, yes though it may seem ridiculous that a person would love a dog more than a human, it would be far more devastating knowing that the most love a person has felt is from a dog.

Human beings are like the worst creatures on this planet, we destroy, we betray, we make hell out of our planet. Dogs are just pure, they are not bad, they don't betray, even if you are not a good friend to them. So I can definitely understand people who love dogs more than humans...

@@BLOODYSHOWDAN Then I think you've lost your way. If tomorrow an asteroid was to hit the Earth, we would be its only saviour potentially, if we spot the damn thing. Dogs are not innocent at all, they can be ruthless. They become more innocent if they are nurtured around humans. Let them go and live and breed in wilderness, you'll see what kind of animals they really are. We are the dumbest animals only by the fact that we don't use our capacity. But shifting from humans to animals in order to preserve some sense of the "kind world" is to run away from reality instead of dealing with it. We'd rather breed dogs and produce some uniqueness that pleasures our arbitrary aesthetic values at the expenses of dogs physical health. So I'd say many of these dog lovers and dog saviours are self obsessed if they think bulldog is cute and want to have one, ignorantly supporting breeding which is producing dogs that are genetically sick due to people's obsession about catering genetic materials to human needs. A dog is as good as the surrounding that shapes it, similar to humans. And I agree we are failing miserably, but in my opinion it is more so because we are rather to shift away towards some idealism with animal obsession rather than carry the burden of responsibly raising children.

Humans suck, dogs love you to the point they would risk their life. To a dog, their person is everything.
