Yes, this car he was driving was post dieselgate. I bought a 2012 Touareg here in Colorado about three months ago. LOVE IT!!! It is everything he says it is, and more. Much, much more impressive driven in person. These were $45k vehicles in 2012, one that drives today like a luxury mid-sized SUV for less than half the price new. I also understand they are total monsters off-road. Considering the vehicle should go 300,000 miles or more, relatively trouble free, I think I ended up with a gem! A great value considering cost per mile. I get close to 27 mpg all around. Your mileage in SD Metropolitan will be less. Traffic! Ugh!
KingOfSorrow 1217 Hey I have a 2006 Touareg . 3.0 V6 tdi . I've had mine 3 months and must say I love it . Mine had 133000 miles on it when I got it . Done nearly 3k miles in that time . I live in the UK and I'm disabled with spine issue from a broken back . I find it so comfortable . Heated seats even heated steering wheel too . I can drive this car 200 miles in complete comfort . Ok mine isn't new . I've done jobs on the brakes and got new wheels n tyres . Dropped from 19" to 18" rims with All terrain tyres . Fuel mileage has got better . We tow a carava/camp trailer with it too . It's almost like it's not hooked on the back . This Diesel engine has so much torque . Mine has 250bhp and over 500 ft lbs of torque . It's effortless to drive . Go for it .
@@musomimukama3308 honestly I really wanted a Q7. I also spent A LOT of time studying the Q5 and VW Touareg. Sadly I would not recommend anything made by Audi or VW. Bad fuel pumps and timing chains will cost you more than the vehicle is worth. Even if a repair is covered under warranty, getting a dealership to do the repair, is like trying to make your teen child clean their room. In other words the job will get done, but on their own time. I've ended up looking at Acura MDX , Toyota Highlander , and even Volvo XC90 or a Volvo S80 2008 - 2009. For me it's a shame Germans can't make a vehicle that won't bankrupt you once the vehicle is out of warranty. Best of luck.
Is it worth buying 2013 Touareg V6 TDI with 130k miles, single owner, company service maintained. Price 1/5 of Invoice. From India. Owners ans with high mileage samples appreciated. Thanks.
@@winnerscirclehorseracingin2518 I don't know much about the TDI engine's. I have herd good things about them. My advice to you is to research any vehicle, you want to buy (Online ).Check consumer reviews for every make, model and year. Check with local mechanic's and ask if they would recommend the vehicle you are looking for. Most importantly, before you buy the vehicle, take it to the dealership for inspection. Best of luck.
