Interesting to note: my name means lion in Hebrew, I have always liked lions and eagles and in Icelandic my name means eagle. Additionally in Turkish my name means bee...although I don’t have as much of a connection to bees like the former animals.

I have heard of some Jews who have a regular name that is of Hebrew origin like 'Joanna' but their Hebrew name when they are called up to the Torah is 'Elisheiva'. Is this necessary? Not really. Is it good and can meaning come out of both names, of course!
