you're so welcome! i had a second part to my speech but i was talking too much so i cut it out lol but I was saying everyones natural hair journey is different. i feel like everyone's end goal at one point was to have long natural hair and thats okay if they want to take the straight road there with no pit stops but some people journey has left turns and right turns, i didnt choose the straight road and you don't have to either, get that second big chop sis!

Hi Jess!! I have been natural for 9 years and have big chopped 3 times. My most recent one was in December 2020 and I buzz cut it. The shortest my hair has ever been. Fast forward to now and my hair is thriving. Best decision of my life and I am happy I did it. My intial goal when I went natural was to have long hair after getting to a certain length and having to big chop multiple times because of excessive breakage due to not knowing how to properly detangling my hair. I decided my goal would be how to be gentle with my hair and baby it and realizing that its a part of me and not my enemy. We have learned to work together and because of that mindset my hair is in the healthiest state it has ever been in. Also the Lord has really helped me by allowing me to have the access to people who teach how to properly care for my natural hair. Thank you for being transparent and taking us on this journey with you.

I was just watching your max hydration video! I chopped off my dead ends last week (I keep chopping back and forth too, mainly due to not taking care properly or heat etc) so went from bra strap to neck collarbone and I feel you, I just simply stopped caring rather have healthy hair over length. Will be following your journey while I continue mine ❤

@@OnlyOneJess well my sisters say thats curly hair but i can see a slight difference and i want it gone! My hair was bra strap length when i started my transition I immediately cut it to my neck and transitioned from there. It did take lots of patience but Im here nowcan finally rock wash n gos twist out braid outs etc!

I just big chopped in like March because my hair started following out during my pregnancy really badly. I originally was going to wait, but my hair was looking CRAZY! I'm happy I did it though. 😊 Your hair is always beautiful.
Nothing like fresh curls! It looks good. Covid hair issues are the worst. LOTS of shedding for me. I am 3 mos post and hair is just starting to recover.
I am definitely with you girl! When my hair is damaged, I just chop. I don't have time to be holding onto hair fir length, only for it to split or break and damage my healthy hair! Just have to let. It. Gooooo! ❤
