I've been growing my hair back out for the past 6 months going on 7 months and I started with a shaved head. It's feels like I've been growing my hair out for forever but I'm getting there, just an inch at a time. Lol

Hey Rah, I recently did the big chop. I left 3 inches on top so I can still do quick weaves and I regretted it only because I came so far. I had 12 inches, and I was so excited, but my scalp was on fire (I later found mold in the renovated apartment when I stayed on an island AND I used a black dye (not the brand I am used to and it maybe it was on the shelf too long) Shoot, maybe it was the water too! I am taking my iron, drinking my water and I'm determined to regrow! Healthy! I did bleach it (lightly though!) I like color, what can I say!

Congratulations on your healthy natural hair journey. I did the big chop about 5-7 times especially because of unevenness and short crown area. I get real antsy if my hair is not moisturized daily, healthy or even. I'm definitely taking biotin and a multivitamin that has iron in it. I'm determined to have medium to long healthy hair. It always goes back at about 5-6 inches per year. Healthy diet along with drinking 2-3 liters of water per day will help too. This fresh start feels so good.
I'm about to cut mine for spring. It'll be my 5th time as well! Time to let go of things not serving me! I'm hoping for a happy, healthy hair growth journey ❤

I just big chopped my locs off 9/7 and have a twa as well. My hair is dyed ginger though 🥰. This my third time cutting my hair & I definitely love it🫶🏾. Yours looks good asff too sis
You did the same thing I did! Only my hair was red,dry and dead! What we both could have done was dye our hair black which is my natural color and it would have instantly became stronger and full of life! Just letting you know in case you decide to color your hair again and cut it all off! If I would have just colored my hair back black and not cut it I would have rocked a big curly afro. Now I'm rocking a short curly afro! I can't wait til it gets big!!! That's my hair goals! Take care!
