This is a wonderful documentary about Emotan. I really do not know much about her history I mean, before now. There's no denying the fact she is indeed a great woman. However, am a bit ambivalent at the same time; I also think it's ambiguous to say Queen Idia is the only woman that can be compared to her in Benin history, it makes me wonder the place of Queen Iden the wife of Oba Ewakpe who sacrificed herself for the kingdom..

Am kind of confuse here about the story. We where taught in school that she was spirit coming from heaven to trade on earth and wife to Egbedi a very strong spiritualist, A fighter and herbal medicinal , that our king fourth with Emotan, husband Egbedi and won then he took Emotan to leave with him on earth.

Yes, I still remember that I stood here with my mother in 1975. Then I was just 11 years old child.

Emota was supposed to be the of Egbedi in the spirit world who come to the land of the living to trade at Agbado market, this story is totally wrong.
