Damnit Herman I need more context than that. It has always killed me to know why my favorite singer of all time left my favorite band of all time! "Insurmountable musical differences" isn't enough lol I would love to hear the full story. I understand it may be some ugly memories for these guys, but as a fan I'd love to know. Vadim explained a bit more in his "Why I left Dragonforce" vlog and I'd to hear everyone else's version. We need a big production Dragonforce documentary Pronto! Lol !
ZP Theart is harder to find than Carmen San Diego these days! But this sure does give me a slight hope for the future of a possible reunion tour one day ❤
I would love to see a collab with ZP and dragonforce. Especially on tour, have both him and Marc perform classics together like fury of the storm, through the fire and flames, and more lol.
If anyone can make it happen, it's Rich Smith. He is/was the drummer for I Am I (ZP's band) and was the drummer for Marc's solo album. I reckon he's got a good enough rapport with the two singers to at least suggest the idea of some sort of collaboration
He didn’t say anything we didn’t already know. They will never get into the real details of it because it’s personal. What’s more of a shocker is that he said they would be open to collaborating with him again in some means. THAT is incredible.
I'm gonna give my 2 cents on the Hudson v. Theart debate and if ZP would be open for collaboration or reunion with DF. For Hudson v. Theart, Marc was everything DF needed in a singer. Consistency and the ability to perform live. After ZP's voice began to fail from smoking, drinking, and a refusal to train his vocal cords, they had to downtune. Marc, while very rough in the beginning (one of the first tours he was in was one of the worst in dragonforce history, some hard to find accounts of the tour exist, but I can't find them, and all video has been removed by Herman.) Marc eventually got his legs and became a worthy frontman. But, Marcs voice doesn't particularly fit DragonForce's style of metal like a glove, very apparent with his solo album Starbound Stories, which really fits how he sings. And do I think ZP would agree to a reunion or collab with DF? Plausible, but VERY unlikely, the very reason he left was because he started to resent the music he and the band wrote, thinking it was all too samey, but maybe, he could have changed his perspective following his departure from Skid Row, who knows right?
He's basically telling us that ZP changed throughout the years. He parted ways with multiple bands and there's obviously a reason for it.. I assume he's really hard to work with in the long run.
The former members of ZP’s I Am I project said he was extremely difficult to work with. Plus Skid Row kicked him out and never even recorded an album with him he basically was just a touring vocalist then they cut him with seemingly no explanation
I was curious on google the other day and the most common thing was him not feeling like Dragonforces vocals were respected. Which is fair really, at the time we just wanted fun guitar noises and someone screaming something about "FAR AWAY"
ZP himself said ''musical differences'' - so i'm assuming he wanted to move onto maybe more progressive than just speed. (kinda like a Dream Thetre vibe) but Sam and Herman wanted to keep what was working. Which makes sense.
Basically, ZP had a different musical opinion of DragonForce, and thought that their music were probably too samey or not original anymore. And so, he quit to form his own band.
He could be died or something because no one get any updates about him. If anyone can get the info from his band member I think it would be great to post on social media. One of the best singer that I ever listened
@@Toshineko He was touring with Skid Row until Erik Grönwall took over, although he parted ways with them too a while back. Haven't seen or heard anything since.
I saw a video Vadim posted on his Facebook some years ago, where he addressed it. The main issue was he felt like the music business as a whole was going under, and that he wasn't getting paid enough to keep touring since he's a recent father. On top of that (now there is some assumption here) the people who make money off of streams and music sales are the songwriters, and Sam is pretty much the sole writer of the band, which would leave Vadim little to nothing from the band income. The money stuff on top of him feeling conflict being a dad and a hardcore Christian now amongst a band of "non-believers" led him to leave the band, since he felt out of place along with the financial struggle.
@@nerfherder4444it’s also worth noting Vadim said he felt like his input on music was completely ignored by the rest of the band and that he felt like they really didn’t care about him coming back to work after sitting out the Reaching Into Infinity cycle
Marc is the best thing to happen to the band other than the success of TTFAF video and then Guitar Hero. Marc is a professional, he takes care of his voice. They haven't had to down tune the guitars for him and live he sounds like the album. I prefer the sound of his voice as well, but even leaving that out, Marc is great.
Marc is not any more professional and he doesn't really take care of his voice the way you think he does. But yes, they haven't had to down tune the guitars for him live, they instead started using playback for Marc which is much worse lol. ZP was better both live and in studio.
Big no. Marc, up to the point he joined DF, was some guy that sang at a few bar gigs, & was chosen simply because he was local. Which makes the whole 'worldwide audition' in 2009-2010 completely redundant. ZP was featured in Metal Hammer. He had the chops & the backing. Marc sounds like he's struggling in just about every note he hits. There's a video of Soldiers of the Wasteland live I watched & he couldn't hit any of the notes. At all. Marc's harsh vocals though are killer. His cleans hurt my ears though.
Marc has not been lip syncing. There's a video of the most recent tour where he misses his cue to go back after the Soldiers solos. No vocals play, and he comes in when he genuinely sings. You can even hear the backing vocals of Alicia and Billy live with no Marc. 100% no lip syncing. Can't speak for everything else with certainty, but Marc has grown so much over the years, the man has total control of his voice. If you're a true professional, you can nail it every time.
was real great with ZP in the band, and I really thought you never could replace him and keep the sound. But you did and Marc Hudson is just GREAT in his role. I sometimes listen to ZP's new band I_AM_I. Really good. Not Dragonforce good, but still real good.
Hahahaha no, Although your opinion is respected, the reality is that zp in terms of voice and essence was a unique thing and not. ZP was superior and a fan who has been with them since 2008 can tell you.
