They do ask if you want any additional items so I did purchase a twilly during that appointment and a rodeo later while in Paris. I do think they have a wide variety of bag charms there. Hope this helps ❤️Megan

Hi! From what I understand your kids can come with you to shop but they can not make any purchases under the age of 18. I have a video on the DETAXE process so I would definitely check that one out. Yes you do have to pay taxes coming back into the US but you do save some money by purchasing in France even with paying the taxes here. Hopefully this helps ❤️Megan

Thanks for watching! I selected all the locations after the first day of trying and being declined. I feel very lucky to have received an appointment it was literally the day before I left! The only thing I had ever purchased in Paris before the appointment were the shoes on the same trip. I didn’t see any teens in the store and great question. Although I haven’t researched it much on policy for leather appointments and age I would predict that you may have to be older than 21… But not sure on that. How many attempts in entering the lottery before you were successful? Was it the Fsh store? Any tips you can provide in scoring an appt /bag? I’ll be there in April.

@@avatseng8870 so, I’ll try to be concise and answer everything. I’m French but I live in the UK now, and was bringing a friend with me for a week to show her Paris. I only buy luxury items in €, and preferably in my country, so I wanted to take advantage of my holiday there to tick some items of my wishlist. On Monday (my 2nd day in Paris), I purchased a pair of shoes at FSH, and it was actually my very first purchase in store (I created my client account on that day). I wanted a Picotin and randomly asked if by any chance I could try on one, but the SA (not very friendly btw, I didn’t feel the vibe) told me that for any bag (no matter if it’s not a BKC) you have to get an leather appointment. I kinda already knew it, but wanted to play the naive girl, just in case. Anyway, my shoes purchase was also a way to “trigger” the algorithm, as I heard that it might help to at least have an account and/or a purchase history to get an appointment. I applied everyday during 6 days (except one, during which I wasn’t downtown), so 5 times in total, and it was unsuccessful 5 times. Everytime I ticked “no preference” for the store, because I thought it would maximise my chances. I was leaving on Saturday, so the last time I asked for the appointment was on Thursday. And at 8pm, I received the text announcing that my appointment was at 5pm on Friday, in the Sèvres store (that I had never been to)! So I was reaaally lucky because it was the last afternoon I was spending in Paris, and I was available at that time. The appointment went smoothly with a lovely SA who was surprised that I “just” wanted a Picotin when I could’ve asked for a Mini Kelly haha, but she really tried to get me one of the combinations of colours I wanted and I ended up with a lovely Picotin 18 Lime with PHD. On the table near mine, a woman was trying Birkins and Kelly in neutral colours, so it looked like they had a nice stock on that day (I also was offered different bags, some with very rare leathers and colours). I would say that mid-January is also a perfect moment to buy, because it’s before the fashion week and 2/3 weeks after the high demand of Christmas holidays (I guess they had received new bags a few days before). Hope I answered your questions!

I was asking for cancellations prior to getting my appointment for leather goods the day before leaving. I got rejected on the online system up until that point. Hope this helps ❤️Megan

10:30 AM to 7:30 PM. I chose to apply pretty much at 10:30 (or as close to it every morning) and then would get a response back the night before the following day. Hope this helps ❤️Megan

Hi! From the research I have done the likelihood once you get an appointment is pretty high but not 100% , from blogs that I’ve read (which is a very skewed view as we don’t know all who have received appointments and not been successful) I would say the majority of people that got an appointment were able to be successful. Not sure about Canadian stores unfortunately and from what I have recently seen they are attempting to link U.S. stores so that Paris can see. Not sure if that has occurred yet. Hi! Yes this was my first Hermes bag offered. And all you can do is try! Best advice is plan a trip, try your luck at getting an appointment, and create a “wishlist” of items you would be interested in (including colors and sizes)… you can do this!!! Thanks for watching and commenting ❤️Megan

Great question… From what I have researched this should not hurt your chances and some people have even said sales associates will compliment other designer bags. I would suggest though if you have an Hermes bracelet or scarf etc. I would wear that along as well. Hope this helps ❤️Megan

Would you say it’s looked upon more favorably if you carry an Hermes bag if you have one?

From what I understand London functions like any other store. Meaning, I believe it is very difficult to score a handbag there without purchase history/ building a relationship with an associate at the store. Therefore it may not be the best location to walk into on vacation and be able to get a Birkin or Kelly. Paris is known for being one of the rare places where if you are able to get an appointment there is the opportunity for a handbag as well. I hope this is helpful. My husband did not end up coming unfortunately because we were just getting back from London. However I saw plenty of spouses there with their partners. As long as you have the appointment and come with your passport and pay for the bag , your partner being there should not be a problem at all. Hope this helps ❤️Megan
