I can imagine Cricket not being popular in the US as it is played only by a handful of nations and a very unique sport. Hi AC, enjoyed this review, I like when you review classics. It is exactly what it is says: Bel Ami with vetiver, very elegant, old school vibe (not modern, fortunately), excellent longevity. I have vintage Bel Ami, which is quite skanky, this is not.

Nice review AC. BAV is leather+smokey+root vetiver combo with dirtier civet....I also have BA latest formulation more classic leather. Both equal to my nose. Perhaps you can review BA too..

so you are an Ellena fan boy :). I began to hate him with TDH because I just cant seem to get along with that scent, and also he seems to have developed this watery body odor formula ( cartier declaration) way back in the 80s and keeps using it to this day , come on give me something new and one that isn't laced with ISO E. Anyways, some of his stuff is beginning to impress me sloooowly :) Thanks for stopping by and glad you like this one as much as I do. I haven't smelled the Carven le Vetiver but I hear its good.
Great review AC only con for me with this is it never gets noticed when worn I still love it though. Pity the original Bel ami has been so emasculated with reformulations. All the best mate.

I like this review. Have you ever had the opportunity to try (Le Vetiver) Eau de Parfum by Carven, in a white 50ml bottle? It's my 3rd favorite fragrance. If you've never tried it, I'd highly recommend you do very soon before it's gone for good. It was discontinued. Beautiful, powerful clean Vetiver.

Smells Good I hear ya, mate. Good thing you can find the Jardin series for relatively inexpensive prices online. I will pop into my local Hermes boutique sometime this week to see if I get a sniff of Bel Ami Vetiver. Speaking of vetiver, have you tried the new Terre D’Hermes Vetiver? I tried it at the airport recently and thought it was alright, but a lot of people on Fragrantica sh*t on it. Elena’s not behind that flanker though...
yeah you are right Ellena has been replaced by a new lady called Christine Nagel. Mate, I hate TDH and all its variants with a passion. Theres this ISO E blast that drives me bloody furious at that fragrance but its only me. I have been holding on to my 75 ml EDP bottle for 3 years in the hope that one day I will change my opinion about that scent.... hasn't happened yet :(
