I have literally been drooling over these sandals for years and planned on getting a pair this year! My feet are big, 42-43, so I would have to get the men's, but everything you're saying makes sooo much sense! I'm too old to spend that much on shoes that hurt my feet!!! Maybe the men’s are more comfortable? 🤔 at least my husband is not willing to take even a small slice if the discomfort in shoes that I am ready to suffer so maybe other men would be like that as well -> more comfortable sandals 😅😂
Funny how different people are! I LOVE mine! I got them in tan and white and last year I lived in my orans. My feet are on the wider side and still the leather is so soft an comfy. They are to me the most comfortable shoes I ever owed. I would always suggest to just try them on and create your own opinion.
With shoes it’s always subjective and expectations & what comfort level you are ”used” to differ - so 100% you should always try them on yourself firts and not take someone’s experience on the internet as the truth 😁 but I’m so happy they work for you ☺️ and I totally wish they’d work for me as well!
I almost bought these in this color, but ended up getting 2 other colors. I love mine, but I wear sandals a lot. Flat sandals don't really bother me, but I can see how that would bother others. I probably wouldn't wear them if I was going somewhere where I knew I'd be walking a lot all day. Glad you did this video. Very informative

Orans in swift leather soften up better than orans in epsom. They are great for a wider foot than for a narrow foot. I am a 6.5 and take a 36.5. If you are going to be walking all day, a sneaker is always a better bet… but to wear to a restaurant or a party, I think they are fine. 😊
I highly recommend going to the store and trying on the shoe in different types of leather. Also, I had to buy 1 size and a half for a perfect fit. Calf and goat skin is softer than Epsom leather. When I think of Epsom leather, I think of salt ( it will rub against your feet and cause irritation) try other leathers. 😍 hope this helps.
I think that's a good advice! In general I think with shoes as the fit is always subjective, it's good to go to the store and try :) but unfortunately we don't have an Hermes store in my country so onine onreding is the only way to go :D
I haven't tried these, but I always felt like they wouldn't be comfortable which is why I stayed away. No shock absorption, no arch support. I have some of the Hermes Bikini sandals, and those also have no support and make my toes go numb.
That’s a beautiful color. I have them in gold 🙈. After wearing them few times at home they got pretty soft but still stay on the foot by itself. I got them last summer and haven’t worn them for more than few hours at one time. I mean they are my ‚going out‘ shoes in the summer. Don’t wear them to the supermarket 😅. I always have worn sandals that are completely flat in the summer so I don’t mind. They are for sure too expensive for what they are but in fact they are my most perfect pair of summer sandals that I can wear whenever I need to look a little extra chic. I like them overall I would say ❤️❤️❤️
I am so glad I saw this because these sandals were on my list because I thought with my poor feet that these shoes would be good since I can’t wear heels. Back to searching for something different.

I was thinking about getting them for ages - my thought has been „Hermes shoes for 500€ - that seems to be a bargain“ - but the way you break it down: a hard sole and a little piece of leather for that price - doesn’t sound to tempting anymore 😆 ... and I‘m wearing a 41/42 regularly, so guess they would be to small anyways
I felt exactly the same way! I’ve been told that I should try the Oasis or Santorini versions but I’m still a bit sceptical 💎 and btw we might have the same sized feet 😁👣
I can tell by looking at them they’re flat and very simple. I’m not sure why you are disappointed tbh as surely you bought them seeing what they look like 😂 I understand the shade may not suit your skin tone but that is personal choice of colour etc
With shoes, the experience is very subjective and people's expectations on shoes are different. I love the shoes because of their simplicity! But as I don't have an Hermès store in my country, this was the first time I ever hold the sandals in my hands and I was surprised / disappointed that the flat sole was so hard & without any cushion - because that's what I expected of such an expensive shoe :)

I understand your point dear 👍🏻 And your not alone 😉 For this price, one can get a super nice flats / ballerinas with lots of details at e.g. Dolce & Gabbana (it depends what you’re looking for). I like the shoes type “larger than life” and DG is my answer many times - never too much, but just enough to enjoy the sparkles 😎

I find this video a day after I ordered a pair😂😂. I looked at these a long time ago and thought to myself, there’s no support there. But because I’m obsessed with owning a pair of Hermès sandals and found them for a great price, I ordered them without hesitation. Nothing like purchasing something that you know darn well aren’t going to be comfortable 🙄🙄

Went to try it on today... also disappointed. I have a long but narrow feet and it was just not made for it. Regular size 38 is too big and wide, size 37 is still wide and big toe is sticking out...The one with a hill are kinda better but still...leather is also quite slippery...very sad!
Hi, first thanks cause I was thinking in purchasing this color and I'm super fair... Comfortwise though I disagree, I have 2 pairs of these, sizing was exact for me (and i have a wider feet) and I live on a tropical island so I wear them on an every day basis and they are super confortable to wear all day long every day. But that's only my experience. Everybody's feet are different. Btw you pronounced the color perfectly ;-)

At least while I live in Europe and walk everywhere. If I were back in Manila and in a car all the time, these would work. I guess they'll just have to stay on the back burner for awhile for me! I think comfort is always subjective but personally these were just too flat & hard for my liking so that I could comfortably wear them longer periods of time and walk a lot :) Thanks for the tips! I've actually been eyeing the LV Revival flat sandals... Last time I was in a LV boutique I was able to look at them and the leather in them is like butter + the sole wasn't so hard at all.

Luckily there was no reason to be angry as I returned the shoes 😉 shoes are very subjective and no matter how many reviews one watches, you can only know once you try them on yourself. Hopefully you have a wonderful day!

I will definitely NOT purchase these... the fact that they're so flat and stiff bothers me, I don't want to spend 500€ on a pair of shoes that is not comfortable to walk in... + I wouldn't be able to drive with... flip flops ?! Lol let's say they're more flip flops than sandals... there is no strap to maintain the ankle... big downside
Have to agree with you regarding the non-existing ancle strap - and pretty much all you wrote in the comment 😁 I still love how they look but at least now that’s not a reason enough to get them because 500€ is a lot of money! I am expecting a lot on return for that amount 😅
