Weird suggestion: make a pickaxe without efficiency for mining the crystals. It is slower, but much much safer since there's little chance of mining the source blocks

I suggest getting a non-efficiency pick for the geode so you have more room to not accidentally break the budding amethysts

Or to really make sure but this suggestion will be "cringe" , you use a stone pick with fortune, unbreaking, and mending so that way you only be breaking amethysts and you have to really be lazy to break the budding amethyst blocks.

When Iskall mentioned Stress sent him the message "We're going to build a gold farm," I had flashbacks to Gem's signs about Impulse and redstone. What a fun episode! I like the idea of your amethyst farm being submerged in water. I would have had to add some sea lanterns myself.

Admittedly, when this started off I thought you wanted to build a "goat" farm, which confused me immensely. I became further confused when the quest for goats took you into the nether, leaving me asking "what in fresh hell is happening?" It was only soon after that I figured out its a GOLD farm, not a goat farm

23:42 Maybe have a dedicated pick specifically for harvesting amethyst so that won’t happen again? You could just put Fortune, Mending, and Unbreaking III on it, since with Efficiency V it’s really easy to accidentally mine those (as evidenced by what happened just before the timestamp). That’s what I do whenever I have an amethyst farm, anyway.

Amethyst crystals are a light source too (not a great one, but one none the less) so it always looks good in the dark! I LOVE IT!

That is actually a smart way to farm for Amethyst! I just make stone platforms.

Use a silk axe, it will collect the clusters a bit slower, but less likely to break the budding block if you miss-click XD

@@phuntis you cannot collect budding amethyst by any means in vanilla…. I was saying to use a silk-touch axe instead of a Pick to harvest the clusters from the budding blocks. That way, you are less likely to accidentally break a budding block. Since an axe takes about 2 seconds to mine an amethyst clusters vs a pick that takes less than half a second (and instant if near a haste-2 beacon). …Then you can store the clusters (most compact) until you need the shards, and that’s when you mine them with the Fortune III pick. 🤓👍🏻

22:00 Iskall, do a water collection system up top to sweep up those items when you break them since they float, it'll make it so much easier so you don't even have to worry about swimming to collect them. Only backdraw to it is the parts that might get in the way of the floating, but you also can manually collect them too.

Been loving the collabs between you and stress this season. They are really the highlight of the episode for me. The horse prank was hilarious if it was intended. Also having a gold farm is super useful if you want to use gold blocks to build with for some reason. Maybe you can have part of your cave base be a treasure vault filled with piles of gold and you can build a statue of a dragon guarding the treasure. Kind of like Smaug from the Hobbit. Though a bartering farm is also insanely useful for blackstone, gravel, quartz, potions, crying obsidian, obsidian etc. Could go on but they are very OP. lol
