you have 3 central pieces: storage, furnaces and composters you should put those three on the middle and then start piping back to the farms to try minimize pipes length

big agree. You may also want to try and run pipes into, and pipes out of, a farm directly on top of one another (maybe 2-3 blocks vertical difference?) to keep the organization simple.

He should make a flow chart of all the item flows he plans on having and use that to strategize where all the farms should be. He may find a central bonemeal distribution and a central items to main storage helpful. (If he uses waterstreams he will want overflow incinerators and to have farms request items when low. Basically cactus feeding the bonemeal farm gets incinerated, but bonemeal powered farms request for bonemeal to be added to the distribution line and stop requesting before they are full to the "pipe storage" doesn't get wasted.)

If you can, see if your villagers can wear your beard. It be cool to give your villagers the dwarven look so if they live in your megabase, it can bring some life into The Dwarven Fortress.

It could also end up looking very cursed. He should try on a villager he doesn't care about first and changes its profession to each type that will be in the final hall just to be safe.

If a Zombie gets in the villager area, the villagers will burn at day, so you can't convert them back.

Impulse, if you _really_ want to do a tree farm, you should know that there are now three types of logs which can be farmed fully automatically. They are the warped stem, crimson stem, and oak log. The oak is possible using azalea trees. It might be a fun challenge to try and make those three fully automatic farms.

@@elijabutterfly6154 bonemeal moss to create azalea saplings, from their its basically a normal tree farm. (Note you do need to have a stone generator feeding it to create moss exactly were you want to grow the trees because the moss the saplings grow on gets converted to rooted dirt (and as such cant make another sapling)

@@harayaalirak4040 back in s6 stress played a prank on grian, placing a dragon head with a curse of binding while they were on a game called demise, and a few people got involved, anyway I think it was iskall who started singing dragon bros one day. I believe since the thing that makes you part of the "bro" hood is an item placed in the head armor slot (jack o lanterns retextured as beards in this case) which is a reference back to dragon bros. BESIDES if it just a word and not a reference to anything, why can't they call themselves a team / gang (as in hermit gang) instead and not specifically a "bro" if they weren't referencing to what happened during s6? the way I see it, the specific word bro is a reference

According to Mumbo before, he added that majority of Redstone reminds him of mostly The Industrial Age which is like Steampunkish and such. If Impulse checks out Technology back in The Medieval days, then he can find out how Redstone can still be Dwarven/Fantasy. Scar built a Factory where The Elves works there and it somehow fit with Scar's idea with Tree Elves.

For lag efficiency, and maybe easier logistics for connecting everything up, you could use localised shulker loaders, and then send the shulkers to the main storage room

colored and glowing signs is also eating frame rates, they seam to act like separate entities... not sure how or why(I'm sure someone much more code savvy would know), but as soon as I removed colour and glow my FPS shot up to more normal values.

I believe it's because coloured text and glow add some sort of an overlay to the text, like applying a filter to it, but I could be wrong

I know on bedrock edition that glowsigns don't do some if the lag optimizations of regular signs. For instance they don't unrender even when behind solid blocks, so large amounts if them == lag city.

I love the name IemMortal because it’s the biggest play on words, firstly, the I for Impulse fits perfectly, secondly, it looks like it says I am mortal, which is not only true but it’s for a store that sells multiple lives technically. Hey impulse an idea for your industrial district builds, on top of the roofs of them you could build a 3D version of what is produced in that farm, that way when you fly over them all, you can see what is being made in each of them. Like you could have a bunch of sea pickle structures on the roof of your sea pickle building, with some kind of white or cyan stained glass as the little whispy bits coming from the sea pickles you made, to make them look a bit like chimmeys for the building. Great episode Impulse, love the work keep it up :D

I love how insane the diamond ore/block tower flex has become. From the fact that it essentially just started as Scar asking his Scarians to guess how many diamonds his first haul was going to yield to Grian being like "well you're not getting away with THIS nonsense" to the divergent Mumbostache and then Doc being all like "you kids are so cute" with world-eater noises in the background, now y'all have invented prevenge. On Hypno of all people.

I think it would be a good idea to make 2 tree farms: 1 for the warped/crimson trees (those are fully automatic and you can leave it running if you have enough bonemeal), and then you can make a UTF (universal tree farm) that does all the normal woods, except dark oak. I think Shaydeejay has a nice dustless UTF farm that is really smart and quite easy to build

The free-ranging villager setup isn’t good until you name tag them. Then you can see trades by glancing over the crowd :) Free range villagers are fun and require less infrastructure, but would recommend smaller groups of them than the crowd you had.

Somehow the industrial area is both modern and futuristic. It seems like it'd be difficult to be both, but you really nailed it with this one! It fits the modern aesthetic just right, whilst managing to look like it's from the future. I love it :D

It would be cool to build a volcano with lava running out of it to power your lava collector and furnaces so it's like the whole area was built around the volcano to be powered by it

I don't have "storage room" anymore, I have a "build shop" everywhere, that has storage for building supplies, a bedroom, lookout, a balcony (which is good to end/start episodes/livestreams) and just generally space to store, prepare builds and/or craft stuff. The build shop has crafting tables everywhere in the walls/floors/ceilings, a small autosmelter, anvils, ... you understand it. Oh, and usually also the entrance to "The Mines", if there are any in the region.

You probably won't have to move your flower farm over to get cornflowers. Remember that, like in a flower forest biome, the flowers that naturally spawned when the chunks were first generated do not necessarily correspond to the flowers that will pop up in that area when you use bone meal. In a plains biome, when using bone meal, there are areas that grow only tulips (any color), and outside of those areas, you get a combination of dandelions, poppies, azure bluets, oxeye daisies, and cornflowers. Setting up a flower farm across the border of the two areas might be a good idea.

The corn flower will grow anywhere on a plains biom. You don't have to move the farm :) Only in flower forest bioms the different flowers have specific spots where they grow. In plains the will grow randomly^^

As a solution to the anvil; clean up the anvil and the splash, put the diamond blocks back into a tower, then use xB's iron farm to "reinforce" the tower with iron block towers on each corner - it's thematic *and* a double flex as you're stacking two resources. Put iron bars in the gaps between the iron blocks to bring it home 👍

Hey for your trading hall, instead of one big open trading hall you could group them off by armor, tool, and general enchantments and a group for each other profession. That would leave some room for a couple small themed areas for the each type of trade

Using the Pink Arrows to mark direction is a good idea, but you could use different blocks to show which "pipe" is item storage, composting, etc. Also, I loved the timing: You say you're kinda scared to try doing a tree farm, only other one you've done was with Ren, and you see that Ren immediately left the game. LOL.

Doesn't Grian still have the infinity room below your starter base/shop as well? That's a whole lot of item frames down there too which no doubt would be bulk of the issue

I did something similar in my world. Iron, kelp, cactus, bamboo, sugar cane, berries, pumpkin, slime, gun powder, watermelon, eggs, wheat, squid, glow squid, coco beans, nether wart, honey comb, honey bottles and tree farms mostly feed into a central processing area via water channels (even a water channel back to the bee farm for empty bottles). Since my world is old and I have way more than enough materials, most of these farms feed into composing as part of my processing plant. This then feeds bone meal into my micro farms like 2 tall flowers, lichen, and sea cucumbers. Having built very interconnected farms, this is built I'm most looking for to in all of Hermitcraft.

In addition to paths from farm to farm, you should decorate your industrial island like a resort and sell passes for other Hermits to use the district like Mumbo used to

You should make a ghast or creeper farm so you can get enough gunpowder for your rocket shop.

If you click to trade with a villager at the furthest distance you can, the villager will walk towards you a little bit. It helps so much transporting them
