In this episode, I team up with Pearl and Gem on an adventure to find some Swift Sneak III books inside an ancient city. I then decide to do some looting on my own after setting up a mechanism to prevent wardens from spawning at all!

Due to their nearly complete lack of wool placement and "speedrunning" techniques, I suspect that the Jevin/Hypno/xB ancient city raid spawned a lot more wardens. Of course, also thanks to using that method, the darkness effect was going almost constantly everywhere, making it hard to tell how many wardens were actually around.

There is one block that is perfect for this trio: The Pearlescent Froglight. Pearl is Pearl, Gem likes frogs and Impulse has his illuminate shop!

i dug a 2x2x127 block hole straight into a deep dark biome, summoned the warden 2 times, elevated them up with soul sand and lured them into a holding cell where i shot them to death from a distant tower. It took 2 days with iron and unenchanted diamond gear. That is not fear, that is determination.

Ok, that clip at the end with the warden chasing Gem is terrifying, it’s running like a angry bear. I can’t wait to see the other Soup Group perspectives. I think 10 diamonds is reasonable for the Swift Sneak III books, maybe put up 1 and 2 books cheaper if you end up with an odd number of them so hermits can buy them and combine with books they’ve already found. Storage room is taking shape, looking forward to see how you finish up the ceiling and the base entrance.

Just a heads up Imp, now you have swift sneak 3, you can crawl in a 1x1 space super fast, so doing hole mining now works alot faster

About the music discs.. while I enjoy the mechanic of a skeleton shooting a creeper and it dropping a disc, I feel out of all the natural vs farmable things, that mechanic HAS to be farmed to be worthwhile so I feel we should definitely be able to loot all of them from chests, it could be rare and each structure chest could have a different disc so you're forced to find all structures (Edit: Just tried to post it as feedback and there is actually 1 post from April about the same thing, everyone should go vote it if you like that idea!)

Impulse, I think it'd be good to incorporate gilded Blackstone into your build, especially in the new storage room, it may be a nice secondary accent to the heavy blue presence (although that looks good on its own too ;) )

Love the little iChirp bird you have there from the shreiker mob sound experiments. Mojang did a lot of changes to keep bats and mobs from constantly spawning the Warden in earlier snapshots so you won't even see the sensors passing the sounds from one to another with the double chevrons like they do with player sounds. I don't get to see the streams anymore due to my timezone, but the videos are edited to perfection as always. Enjoyed the SOUP crowd and your progress on iTrade.

Mojang: We want to make it so that players can't 'cheese' the Warden... Ilmango: Challenge accepted... Mojang did a pretty good job of giving the Warden a fairly wide ranging skill set so that it would be difficult to defeat easily, but they had to know that someone out there would find a way to negate the Warden eventually. There are just too many players out there that have a ton of technical know-how that it was not a matter of 'if' but 'when'...

Someone should go to one of the ancient cities and sneak around and pickup and replace each shrieker so its player placed but still in its original location. Then when the next hermit comes through and triggers them they will have no idea why the warden wont spawn lol.

dare ideas: - alter Ren's statue - build a face into the base of 10 hermits - plant hidden pufferfush in common areas - build a giant and complex redstone machine to do something really simple - rename all sheep on the server to jeb_ - sell a stack of dirt to another hermit - sell diorite to iskall - build something nice (in a common location) with a block palette of gilded Blackstone, acacia wood, diorite, redstone blocks and magenta glazed terracotta - build a redstone block castle - obtain diamonds without going aboveground, starting with nothing in your inventory (they'll have to find a mineshaft, tools etc. maybe start them in a cave with a semi close mineshaft or stronghold) - make noise machines under people's bases (large numbers of hidden nether portals by their portal so they dont know, or chicken in a chamber with one pressure plate connected to a dispenser firing an arrow at a arrow at a bell)

The entire sequence of Pearl setting off the shrieker, everyone scattering in a literal blind panic, Impulse setting up distractions, and Pearl flying off and Gem dying feels like an entire freaking action sequence from a movie and/or TV show. Nice to see you goofing around with the soup group again :) I think the problem with your shop could be that hermits don't find the elevator, maybe if you remove a window and make a fly-in entrance it could attract more people, otherwise you could give away free samples to give hermits a taste of the froglights :)
