Hermitcraft 9 | Ep 028: My First MEGA Shop! 

You'll probably get a million comments on this, but Ren has setup an area to bring those quest tokens. It is used to determine who is the champion of quests on the server.

I love the shop name “Impulsive Buys” as most hermits will walk around the big store and buy more things on a whim!

“Life is like a visit from Zedaph. You never know what you’re gonna get.” - impulse, probably.

You could call the shop impyreal goods, after your "impyre" mega base theme

Call your shop “The Forge” or maybe “iForge”! It goes along with your Dwarven theme.

And so we have reached the point in the season where the traditional Megashop is built!! Sahara was "a mess" to quote Iskall & barely broke even, Pacific was uhh. "Business" in the front, pool party in the back, and not much else inside... Fingers crossed for the past not to repeat itself and for Impulse's Shopping Impire to flourish :DDD

Bdubs is going to be so happy about the Netherite! He's building Ren a fancy throne.😄

when I first read the title I immediately thought of Season 6 Sahara, Season 7 The Barge, and a mall, the name I would give this MEGA shop would be Impulse Impressive Imporium (I.I.I) and I think if you are gonna sell food you should build a food court with different shops for different foods

"4 days of my life were compressed down to 1m20s for you guys" I mean, that just sounds heroic in my ears.

How about "impulse buy" for the shop name and make everything displayed like the stuff in the grocery store check out aisles. And Bdubs is using netherite blocks for Rens throne. That's why you threw it in the pit.

Usually I skip ads in the videos, but all the hermits make them so fun to watch that it’s like your missing some the good stuff if you do

I really like the whole Server Quest idea. Makes every episode more interesting!

A way to get around the "Build a single shop" thing you could do, is to build a mall space with several shops inside it.

Impulse, King Ren has an “Arch of Champions” where you can put your completed quest crystals. It’s like a competition to see how many you can do

One of the quests is to build a "free" shop. I have a fun and relatively easy suggestion for the "Imporium." The product is just cooked chicken with custom names. You could put a food stand (like a dispenser and a button) in the Imporium and call it "Nuggets of Wisdom." Each cooked chicken could be labeled with like a wise dwarven quote or something.

Standing in the kitchen washing dishes, headphone in one ear, and the netherite time lapse comes up. I'm tapping my toes, grooving along and just as the bass drop comes, Ad... 😆 Love your content man, keep up the great work!

The tree chopping at the start gave me an idea for a shop for future seasons. It's a shop where the other Hermits stock for you, at least partially. All of those builds where Hermits have to clear out multiple double chests of...stuff, they can sell the bulk blocks to you for a bulk price and you sell on to other Hermits for fair value. On top of whatever excess you have filling up your sorting system, of course.

The iMporium or even iMart sounds good. Also, you'll need two of your heads, because you can go to the Arch of Champions and claim a pillar to track how many quests you've done. As an aside, you can use your eggs from the egg hunt to represent what quests you're doing in the Server Quests area (Ren has said that was ok in his video, ep. 13).

Impulse, you could take a lot of quests if you make your shop like a shopping centre (mall as you say in America)

When you mentioned Sahara I got a wave of Nostalgia Lol and I also remembered how it failed and I'm hoping your Shop doesn't fail Your mega shop Looks Sick!!

A neat idea you could build later down the line, or allocate some existing space of the build is doing a potion shop as a dwarven tavern! Yes, you would be in competition with Cubfan's boat-thru coffee themed potion shop, but a: it would keep in line with your dwarven theme, you could even rename the potions fun dwarf themed names (example, a strength potion could be called Bloodaxe Brew). Anyways b: I do believe that despite Cub having a potion shop in the spawn village, there is a unique one time economy quest for "Build a Potions Shop". I could be wrong, but when Ren released the episode where us the viewers could pause and read thru every listed quest, I'm pretty sure I saw it in one of the books Economy quests. If you are planning something as big as Sahara or bigger, and want to branch out into more markets, potions could just be a for fun thing, and I think a Dwarven Tavern would suit that wonderfully as either an addon, or a part of the Dwarven Imporium (only name idea that came to mind), or a separate nearby build. It could even be a place to sell various food items, and a gathering place for Hermits to hang and chat, or say plan adventures, fantasy style, kinda like what Ren and Bdubs are trying to do. Could even have a bill board in there for the Hermits to post events like signs and books that are invites to grand openings of shops, events like Cub's Total Chaos or Tango's Decked Out, or even maybe just let Hermits post flyers on it. I'm just imagining a fantasy style, dwarven tavern, similar to what one might think of if they're familiar with Dungeons & Dragons, or Discworld.

I think the Barge would be a better example of a mega shop, had a variety of things and even took special orders with a pesky bird delivery.

A good idea for the shop name would be 'iSellEverything', as this shop DOES indeed sell pretty much everything

I posted this as a reply to another comment, but I also think it deserves it’s own: I was going to suggest that your business model be the Barge from S7, but I see that others have beat me to it, so I will supplement with: I think the barge did the best with items that were time consuming to grind or craft, such as sand/gravel and item frames/dispensers. And TNT, which, in order to claim the quest you could make as a pop up shop outside the main store. Furthermore, you could make the “pop up shops” outside the store to be whatever is currently in most demand on the server (perhaps at a discount), so that way Hermits don’t actually have to go inside (which I know they like). Also, an elytra entrance might help facilitate more sales.

When I got a first glimpse at the thumbnail I thought it was a season 8 episode because it has quite a few of the same materials as the factory. Nice work!

With how big the mega shop is, it’s almost like an above ground dwarven warehouse. So I’d be more direct with the naming. “Impulsive buys”, “Treasure Keep”, or something similar.

I really love Jono's music he did for you - I hope you will play it more often! imporium sounds good for your mega shop, and you could have 'Special Areas' in your shop and call them 'impulse Bargains' (Like a Sale with reduced prices for certain goods)!
