I've been waiting for this episode!!! Also, Keralis. As a hint, don't go through the exit doors and stop when Vex are chasing you. They can still go through the closed door and kill you. It's why Tango built an immediate drop. The Vex can't follow you that far down. If Vex are chasing, don't stop until you've dropped down.

That level 2 artifact run, how in the actual did Keralis get down there, find the artifact, and out with it without dying??? Has to be the best most exciting run ever! This guy is simply AMAZING at Decked Out!

You're right that the dungeon is changing! The hazard block cards are what keep it from closing off doors and pathways. Also, make sure you buy tomes too, thats how you score "points" for the game, and in this first phase its how tango decides how many shards you get for phase two =)

I wonder if he watched the instruction video 😆😅 but he's doing amazing already!! Keralis i recommend going upstairs to the sound testing room in decked out. There is really good information in the books up there. Best of luck on your next runs! P.S. make sure you tell Tango about falling for the ice trap (but shh, don't tell other hermits! Only a few of them know!)

Omggggg the cherry on top of the first 3 runs being successful (one of them level 2) is you dying to the trap!!! Don't worry, Tango will reimburse you one shard. But don't tell any other hermits about what happened to you, it's a secret!

The plot armor on that first level 2 run was amazing

Keralis's face is really perfect for Decked Out. Cutting to 3rd person and seeing his skin's wide-eyed expression at the end of the Cleansing Pearl run was truly the encapsulation of how we all felt watching that narrow, narrow escape

Wow that was impressive got out first run with an 18 ember Artifact?!?! And on top of that an Uncommon Card as your first purchase? That's huge! GG Keralis. And that 4th/Level 2 Run of the video had me shaking and on the edge of my seat I don't get why the Vex hit once and then just stopped that was lucky, Tango was right about Max Clank not being as deadly as it probably should be just walked right past the one evoker.

The gold edged cards, labeled “etherial”, do get consumed. Other cards are permanent additions to your deck. The number in the upper corner of the card tells you how many of that particular card you may have in your deck of the 40 total cards allowed. But you will know all of that if you’re reading Tango’s Decked Out 2 communications, now that you’ve experienced the game blind. 😉

That run with the Pearl.. My heart was racing just watching!! At the end I was like yeah Keralissss!!!! 🎉

Wow, I can't believe how good Keralis is at Decked Out already!

Frost ember shop was very bugged on that first run as it showed 8 cards instead of four but that doesn't discourage the skills by Keralis getting a Uncommon card on his first attempt. We all know Keralis is going to be amazing

I loved watching you discover how to play and how everything worked. Each time you ran through, you learned a bit more about the dungeon, and made your own guesses on what was happening. That's so fun to see and listen to! Just... For goodness sake, keralis. PICK UP BERRIES. XDDD

I truly couldn't wait for Keralis to start Decked Out 2 because I just KNEW his reactions to the dungeon would be the best. Specifically, the way I knew he would appreciate the dungeon itself as a build, the effort Tango put in to the little details, the novelty of the dungeon door and card shop and the AUDIO design?!? Its AMAZING and I knew Keralis (along with Scar) would appreicate it all so much 😌❤

I've never been so anxious and nervous for someone to get out alive thinking there's no way...but you did it soooo many times. Wow!

@Keralis, YES - the dungeon is changing, more hazard you accumulate more paths are closing. Many of those closed paths will still be available if you have a jump boost, some higher level cards give you effects like that. BTW, the Moment Of Clarity card is "ethereal", it disappears from your deck after being used, it's not returned to you when the game ends. You should ask Tango for the "supervised" run, he did it for the first several days and players were able to get their questions answered during the game or right after. P.S. Love your face ❤

The way Keralis got 18 on his first run, so when he got 12 on his second run he said: "12 only, so that didn't mean a lot" killed me 😂

Oh I’ve been waiting, looking and hoping for this 🎉 yaaaaaaaay. ( you may already know) FYI, moment of clarity is “ethereal” so once it’s used during a run it is used up and doesn’t go back into your deck. You did absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to see more!

Casually buys an uncommon card on the FIRST RUN.

I love how excited all the hermits are too, and rightly so. It really may be the most impressive all around creation in survival minecraft. The building/terraforming is great, the redstone is insane, the resource packs are perfect, the gameplay is balanced, it seems very reliable (which was the one issue with decked out 1). Just an outstanding job!

Can’t believe vex didn’t get when you paused in the exit room without falling down right away! Grab all the berries too! Great job tho!!

I'm so amazed by the first run success AND the level 2 run. Some real close calls in there!

I can't believe it, Keralis beats his first run, and out of his first 5 runs, he beats 3 of them. Absolute legend!!

That second last run was _insane._ There is no way you should have survived that; I was shook!

That 2nd to last run was the most crazy save I have ever seen. 2 ravagers block both exits, you have no sprint and the vex are out, yet you SURVIVED!

These were the most accidentally pro decked out runs ive seen yet. Absolutely outstanding. And a 75% win rate is probably the best so far too

Moment of clarity is not what you want to spend your embers on! Honestly you should talk to Tango about getting reimbursed and choosing new cards for those, as well as asking if you can get the moment of clarity from your starter deck back. You didn't have anyone around when you were playing to let you know that those are "Ethereal" cards, which means if they get played when you are in the dungeon, they are gone forever! Those cards are more for end game when you have tons of embers and just have a few left over and decide to just buy a moment of clarity (the only common card left in end game that has any real value). ❤

So good to see you starting to run decked out! Missed hearing your voice while the hermits were hanging out this week running!

1) You may be crazy but not for the reasons you think. The doors are closing and walls are rising. That is called hazard. 2) Please notice that on cards like "Moment of Clarity" the Ethereal tag. This means that once it is played in your deck within the dungeon, it is gone. They are a one time use. 3) You should DEFINITELY hit up the tutorial room to hear the sounds and read the books. They will help you get through this with more knowledge. =) Good luck, Papa K

A few suggestions in case nobody told you yet: 1. Spend the time to read the books in the tutorial room (also called sound-test-room). It will help to know what the sounds you hear are indicating. 2. Try picking berries whenever you come across them. You ran out of hunger quite a bit after passing multiple berry bushes earlier in your runs. I'm assuming once your not as overwhelmed anymore, you'll learn that anyway. 3. Talk to Tango in case you haven't yet. The trap you fell for is intended, but Tango might buy your silence about it with another shard ;) 4. You got very lucky with the artifact you got in your first run. That's the highest paying one I have seen on easy difficulty and I have seen almost every Hermits run. So you might not have grasped the prices of the cards quite yet, so just know that getting the uncommon card was very lucky. 5. Moment of clarity and any other card labeled "ethereal" (under the picture) are destroyed after they are played. With a deck this small that's basically every time you have one in your deck. That's why the moment of clarity is so cheap for what it does. 6. In case you're seeing a "permanent-ethereal" card, don't be confused, how it can be both: permanent just means that the effect of this card is permanent for your entire run, so permanent cards are played immediately. Also I have to say: wow, you we're shaky. That makes it even more impressive in my opinion, that you managed to get out in your first run.

Keralis! I’m glad you’re back, we’ve been looking forward to seeing you play Decked Out! I’m sure this is addressed later in the video, but it looks like the textures for some things are glitching? (The door sequence, shards look like tomes) Did you watch Tango’s how to play video?

A few recommendations for your Decked Out runs: 1. Cards labelled as Etherial (like Moment of Clarity) can only be used in one game. They are not returned to your deck afterwards. 2. Look at what the compass says. If it says Level 1, then stay at level 1 (the one with ice). If it says Level 2, you need to find a key, then offer it to the statue, then go down the staircase to Level 2 (as you did) 3. Make sure you keep an eye out for berry bushes, it's your only source of food in the dungeon!

Dear Keralis, Those moment of clarity cards are one time use only, because they are "Ethereal" cards. Also, don't forget to take your well earned crowns out of the barrel, after exchanging them for coins, before you jump to your death of supreme victory. (Edit: I could have been wrong about the crowns)

For anyone wondering, "clank" is generated by skulk sensors when you run. Generating clank makes the heartbeat go faster and when it reaches a certain point, vexes are released to hunt down the player. Also, over time certain areas of the map get blocked off randomly. This is called "hazard". The only way you can "win" a run is to find the relic that your compass is pointing to and bring it back to the start of the map. The only thing the difficulty changes is which relic your compass will point to, so higher difficulty means you need to go deeper into the dungeon to find the relic. On easy, the relic will always be in level one, so a key is unnecessary if you are playing on easy. To get further in the dungeon, you need to find a key and drop it in a certain area to open secret doors leading downward to the next level. There are three basic functions of cards you can put in your deck that affect the map. At the beginning of your run, the deck will be shuffled and the cards will be played at random intervals. Certain cards block clank giving you more time, others block hazards allowing more options of movement. Treasure hunter cards increase the chance that crowns, gold, and keys will drop. There are also cards that give you porkchops and ones that activate jump boost, allowing you to reach otherwise inaccessible areas of the dungeon. "Ethereal" cards can only be used on one run. "Permanent" cards are played as soon as you enter the dungeon and remain active for the duration of your run. Frost embers can only be spent in the shop after a run, and whatever you have leftover cannot be taken with you so you have to spend them or lose them. Coins and crowns can be taken out of the game and collected, and can be spent in the other shop in the waiting area for the dungeon. 4 coins = 1 crown. If I have missed something, feel free to add it in the replies. I hope this helps some of you to follow along!

OMG, I'm not done with the video, but FIRST 3 RUNS SUCCESSFUL, and ONE OF THEM IS LEVEL 2 all without any hermits on to give tips!?! If you were playing week one with all the other players everyone would have been so blown away.

Keralis really just walked into Decked Out a week late, got no guidance, said "Low Diff" and refused to elaborate. Absolute KING!

You have NO idea how lucky you were! 3 rounds without a death, getting some of the most valuable Level 1 artifacts and escaping vexes on the 2nd run, then you get a level 2 artifact RIGHT by the entrance to level 2 and manage to escape vexes again! Brilliant.

Keralis really did great here. The fact that he isn’t getting that much berries and still manage to complete the run specially the pearl run were there are vexes yet he escaped it not to mention how chaotic it was which makes it 1000x better! Deymmm! The protagonist of decked out is hereee! Watch out hermits

25:21 There are parts of the map that close as time passes. If I'm not mistaken, every 30 seconds each "hazard" have a random chance of activating, witch will either close a passage, make it harder, or activate a trap.

The plot armor on that third won 😮😮😮. Even stopping in the exit when there were vex after him!!

You are the most improbable runner yet. Every time you stop dead in your tracks to ponder the scenery when you have Vex or Ravagers inches away from you, I nearly have a heart attack. Also berries! Also Also, since I know you would like this - Tango just implemented free novelty replicas of the artifacts. It's at the other end of the ember shop by the forge. You can collect the artifact you recovered during that run for bragging rights or as a display piece.

Keralis, please get more berries throughout the run! You can survive a ravager hit if you have about 10 berries and not being able to sprint can get you killed. And shift on magma blocks, so you don't take damage from it! Also listen to the heartbeat. At max clank, the heartbeat thumps like crazy and the vex will come eat your face. And last, hazard closes off pathways the longer you are in the dungeon, so yes, the dungeon changes the longer you stay in.

Man, I swear. So many hermits would have benefited from paying attention to Tango's how to play video.
