Doc needs to install a treadmill or a hamster wheel for Gemini in his TCG Arena :) And I'd be genuinely interested about how much of this hopping around is just ADHD and how much of it is Gem playing her character in Minecraft being ... sparkly. I love it either way and I kind of want I subconsciously do while playing minecraft now.
I remember grian or X saying they consciously keep the pov stable as much as possible because they don't want the viewers to be dizzy watching their video. This is my first time watching her, I can't continue anymore.
The game was fine and all, but I think everyone is forgetting what we have actually learned from this video: Finally, after all these years we know who actually orders a Fillet of Fish from Maccas. Doc continues to surprise me at every turn. :)
This was one of the best matches I've seen you or Pearl play yet! Doc is a fantastic Game Master. He's such a funny dude and so are you and Pearl; this video just whizzed right by! Glad he figured out (or was told) how to pronounce your name properly - he defaults to Gemi-knee a lot but that's likely just because English is not a first language and it doesn't make sense for it to be GeminEYE without it being spelled Geminai lol Anyway, would love to see more matches!!
29:09 Doc being sad that his card stats aren't great is funny to me lol. I think they had this conversation on a stream but I do not remember who or when.
@kricnea yeah I remember that too but there was one TCG stream where a bunch of hermits were playing together and Gem was playing a Doc card and doc was complaining about how weak it was lol
I think it was Gem VS. Impulse that doc was saying he's too weak, and either impulse or Joe said he could've rigged the machine to give him good stats. Joe was game master and doc was coaching gem during that battle
This game needs a Deck Rarity Score Cap. Often the hermit who wins just has more rare cards, it reduces skill and increases luck and whoever has bought more. If you introduce a rarity score, say: Common = 0 Rare =1 Ultra Rare=2 And then impose a rarity score cap for all decks. You not only balance this affect, but you also negate the massive advantage of people who've played more, and you have the added bonus of keeping common cards in the game. Otherwise beef made all these cards, but there's just no reason to ever use them if you find the rarer version. But if it cost 1 point of your rarity score, maybe you would settle for the common. It makes deck building much more difficult. Especially if they ever do a tournament they should do this
That sounds smart. I've seen multiple decks that have only rares or even beefs with his 3 ultra rares. Would be interesting to see someone discover a good common card as well
@@Knight_Fury_007 overthinking games is kinda my thing lol. If you like that comment maybe you'll like my channel. Soon I'll post a better version of the basalt bridge machine mumbo built 3 years ago. Cause doing internet things three years late is also kinda my thing lmao
@@Knight_Fury_007 Also, we know the good common cards, Gem got maxed stats, I forget who else, but there's an online version you can check lol. But the really cool thing is that you also need to care about item cost. Cause with a rarity score cap, you might not go for all 2x items.
Ren has already made a solution by matching rares and ultra rares of the lowest deck. There is absolutely no reason to bring rarity scores in to this otherwise you're just going to complicate it too much for the Hermits who aren't actual TCG players.
Beef did an amazing job making it complicated enough to invoke strategy without making it so complicated that non-TCG players would find it too daunting.
Strategy tip: When you placed the second Joe, it would be better to put the item card on him. If you are forced to change to the first Joe you can finish to power him up at the turn you use him, so be missing an item on the bord and having it on your hand is never a problem.
No modpack.. beef made the cards in map art.. so if you want to do it .. grind for a year .. or you could play hermitcraft tcg online version made by fans..
@GoldAndBlue totally agree and tbh I found it kind of endearing, almost like its so much fun she can't sit still. Unfortunately that didn't help with the motion sickness 😅
Unfortunately thats not gonna stop, or my brain wont be able to focus on the game. Its why I dont post most of these, they are fun for me but useless footage wise
11:00 Scuse me Doc. Australia has insects, but Africa and North America have large predatory mammals and aggressive herbivores that weigh 100-2500kg! Lol
@@soumyadityaagarwalla1517 I'm well aware he is from Germany. And I'll take my chance with snakes which are afraid of humans over things like mountain lions, wolves, and bears any day. Not to mention the dangerous herbivores that will attack and kill people like bison and moose.
@@liamengram6326 well you wont find those herbivores or mountain lions in the streets of LA right ?? They are mostly kept in the forests, which you can't do with snakes ..
By the way, before they were extirpated Bears and mountain lions were all over LA. As for where 99% of Americans live, most animals can be found wandering in to suburbs and urban areas fairly regularly, and they're just part of the landscape in rural areas. Where I live we see bear, moose, deer, etc. all the time. There have even been bears spotted in the capital city of New York. If you go on a real hike in NY you'll typically be in the Adirondacks where bear, bobcats, and moose are plentiful. And while the state denies that mountain lions have started repopulating the Adirondacks, everyone who frequents there knows that they're there. The state just doesn't want to admit it because then they have to come up with a management plan for them.
@@nefderath1 Yeah I'd say they're generally among the most family-friendly channels on RU-vid. Not just due to the lack of swearing, but also due to the lack of drama and shouting. Yes they had some friendly banter in this match for example, but you can tell they're just having fun.
