in the last 11 years listening to ethos voice ive had kids, found a career, acquired enough hobbies to keep me busy all day. But no matter what i always take the time to listen to etho ramble about minecraft. thanks etho

I got to say, watching from episode 1 to the end of this episode, the progression from complete noob to competent vault hunter has been so entertaining.

Training wheels off, snacks acquired, day made. Perfect way to end the week :D

I'm not sure if the numbers reflect this for viewers as a whole (or how much you care about viewership numbers anyway) but personally, I'm so happy that videos are getting longer and longer for all these series!

Oh, that was so good. SO GOOD. I don't think people who are new to Vault Hunters realized how much you improved from beginning to end let alone middle to end of the episode. Your VH knowledge is an significantly sharp incline on an exponential curve. But even from the first few minutes to 9:40 where we see your storage drawers set up... you've come along MASSIVELY within the weeks since your last episode and I'm comparing you even to False! Last she streamed on Saturday, she was level 31 (to be fair, she and the others have been doing Plunderer's Vaults to keep their levels down so others could catch up in level. You didn't mention these at all so I'm wondering if you have been told about them yet? But there is a fantastic trade off to a Plunderer Vault: you gain 0 XP but you get like 20% more ores/loot or something? It's so worth it to run a bunch of these. Plus with all the gear you'll get you can really perfect your gear, armour and tools alike. When you said you didn't know the difference between Chromatic and Vaulterite Sickles I was like this :O and was so happy to see you find out what the difference was. ^^ As for the Bomignite Key that you have (which is Hbomb's Gem), at a certain level (40, I think?) the Vault will now spawn locked treasure rooms and the doors will be different jewels. In order to enter those treasure rooms, you will need the right treasure key. So these keys you will want to keep in your inventory somewhere when vaulting now. And of course, you'll need to keep an eye out for them as they are easy to miss. Once inside a treasure room, they will have no mobs but will have chests with rarer loot as well as treasure sand which you should vein-mine shovel as it will drop goodies galore! Can't wait to see you find your first treasure room! Also, can't wait to see your reaction to a Cake Vault!!! They are my faves. I've been trying to convince False & Hypno to run Cake Vaults. They're much more fun in Party Vaults and way easier to complete with others as well. You don't really want to do it yourself unless there is absolutely no one around and you can't simply wait.) You're saying that this is scratching your rogue-like itch, well, I'm super happy for you because it's keeping my VH addiction well fed. I said this before buuut I bet you would get a kick out of streaming this. ;) Chat is very helpful for spotting treasure rooms, for example. :D

I've watched most of Chosen Architect's videos of this pack, as well as a couple of others, so I've seen a fair bit of it. But seeing how the pack's mechanics have progressed (*especially* now being able to retrieve your items after dying in a vault), combined with your clear explanations of how those mechanics work, this is the first time I've been interested in playing it.

Sometimes it feels like watching Etho is a scavenger hunt. I've seen more Etho Vault Hunters in other Hermit's video's than in his own lol.

I know Etho said before that he typically plays roguelike games in his free-time and likes to enjoy them without worrying about recording. However, I just wanted to say I would love to see him play some of these games since he's obviously pretty good at them and clearly has a lot of fun with it. Also, I would suggest Cult of the Lamb as a potential game to play for RU-vid or alone :) I would love for Etho to see this so if you guys agree please like this comment :)

I have always wanted to see You, Grian, and Tango run vault hunters. I am glad you are having fun with it. My favorite trick with the pouches is to make a deposit upgrade that sits in an item frame in front of my storage system. If you put it in a pouch then when you right click on an inventory intake like the drawer controller it will automatically pull items from that pouch. I combine this with a auto soul system for my scavenger vaults. Put a few 2x2 Drawers with hoppers leading into a soul diffuser that leads into a compacting drawer. With the deposit upgrade in your scavenger pouch you can put all of the rotten scav items into the drawers they will automatically get put into the soul diffuser and the dust gets compacted into soul shards.

I don’t thing Etho understand how influential he has been. The first mc RU-vidr I ever watched was him, I was 6yo. I’ve watched him my whole life. My brother was 4 when we both started watching. He is a pioneer and revolutionist. I’m now in college and am still watching his videos over and over. He’s an inventor too, he has made and discovered so many things in games, most of all mc. He has encouraged my brother to do the same which has now led my bro to be a top programmer and engineer. Etho, if you see this, you are as humble and approachable as a friend but as influential as a leader!! We love you Etho!!!!

The looting part of vaults always looks so fun ... and then I see the huge parade of mobs coming after people and go "yeah nope". Etho did amazingly well in the dragon room though. Never seen anyone run through that with so much ease!

I’m a grown man but I’m a little kid again every time etho uploads I went and joined the navy and came back to hours of decked out secret life and vault hunters, had a genuine treat catching up and binge watching all this content! Thank you etho

There's a pretty good backpack optimization you can do to a backpack like at 32:05 Etho prepared quite a lot of duplicate slots, but then those slots are often unused when you leave the vault. Instead you can leave empty spaces, and filter to only pick up existing items (locked slots also count). Anything exceeding your stack limit will just go into one of the unassigned slots.

Love it Etho! The hammer is a good tool for vault ores and mining outside the vault.

@etho, I wanted to share a rather powerful combo I've found; smite can be combined with chaining attacks to instantly destroy groups of enemies. It is a bit difficult to get the hang of it, especially with smite at low levels, but it's a strong enough combo that it's worth building an entire kit around. (in particular, it's very mana hungry to maintain smite, especially at higher smite levels, so a lot of mana regen is necessary to take the greatest advantage of it)

Super fun episode, there is a crazy amount to Vault Hunters, and glad you are enjoying yourself. Thank you for posting some videos of these, love watching you no matter what the content is. Keep up the great work Etho!

Etho, if you feel like you're leveling up faster than your gear try plunderers pearls, they have bonus loot but you get no XP Also you can click pickup settings in the pouch and chose match backpack settings so it'll only pick up things you've filtered for, then you don't have to allocate every single slot, it'll just overflow multiple stacks of the filtered items!

Hey, @EthosLab you don't need to add ghost items to the pouch more than once. set the pick up as "match pouch contents" and empty slots will not be filled with random junk, but with more of the items you got in it/ghost filters. Also, when you get surrounded by mobs you can use dash to charge through them into safety, no need to die ;)

Hey Etho, it was really nice to hear you vault with Hypno & Iskall today on Hypno's stream. I hope you join more streams when you have time! It's so much fun to vault together, especially Scavs. And running with Iskall you learn so much more about the intricacies of the pack. And the Kiwi Chicken game you goaded the others into at the end was so entertaining! I really hope to see more of that. I have a clip from earlier in the year, like February or March where False was streaming from the official VHsmp. During a vault she ran into a player wearing your skin and commented on it. I thought I'd never actually see you in a Vault and here we are. :D I was watching False's VH stream before you logged on and she said that she had run some vaults earlier with Iskall, Stress, and yourself and I'm really happy to hear that! I'd love to see you join when False is streaming and do some vaults 1 on 1 with her too. She needs to level up though. I really hope all of you can do cake vaults soon because those are a ton of fun. :) I also saw on your subreddit that you ran some vaults on Joe's stream last night? I missed it but I'm definitely going to watch it. Luckily he doesn't delete his youtube vods for the most part, just unlists them. I'm so thrilled you're enjoying this pack because I've been watching it since the beginning. Iskall's journey with the pack has been incredible to watch and he deserves so much kudos for what he has done for modded Minecraft to be fun and not a grind (although there's nothing wrong with grindy packs, they can be fun as well). I'm sure he's over the moon he was able to make something that you're enjoying so much.

I can't wait until Etho makes a super vault with a bunch of extra chests, those are so satisfying!

Hey Etho, remember that even though you're in a vault, you're still playing Minecraft ;) Remembering this is useful when inside a dungeon (the special doors) or when dealing with elite mobs :)

i've been watching etho for around 10 years and whenever you upload it's a treat. in this time i've graduated high school, started a career, had many failed relationships, got rich, went broke, and now i'm reestablishing myself and starting my master's in computer science. your calm demeanor and dry humour have helped me tremendously in shaping my own personality and way of thinking. thank you etho!

I’m so glad etho is able to do vault hunters. I was so afraid he wouldn’t be left with much time given decked out, secret life, real life, lol. I think many hermits would love to play but are having a hard time fitting it in.

I'm enjoying these despite Etho not recording everything. One of my more favourite series.

Just a small tip - when your re rolling you gear in the artisan station you can keep your mouse over the re roll button and your new stats are shown instead of moving over to the piece of gear and back again 😊
