Today, Thursday January 19th, 2023 the one and only David Crosby died after suffering a long illness. I WILL ETERNALLY ADORE THIS MASTERPIECE OF A SONG. And he, Graham Nash, Neil Young and Stephen Stills will FOREVER be MUSICAL HEROES of their generation. Their fantastic voices and talent put together literally MADE MAGIC for all of us. THANK YOU DAVID CROSBY from the very bottom of my 61.5 year old heart❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Came right here upon reading he had died....it's so frustrating...why can't it be a politician that kicks the bucket?? Every week it's a great singer or the like that seems to pass :*(
There just never will be good music like this ever again. Music today makes no sense, but older songs told the story of real life and had real meaning.
Fun fact: this was actually Phil’s song but he decided not to use it on his 1993 album. So he gave it to his old buddy David Crosby and did the background vocals instead. Crosby also sang on Phil’s 1989 album.

It has been an odd year for me because David Crosby passed away at the age of 81 and I grew up with him because he was so talented and he was very amazing in the first two bands that he was in solo days were amazing as well
A beautiful song. David's music has been in my life since 1965 - with The Byrds, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Crosby and Nash and solo. RIP David and thank you for the music .
Useless trivia: the guy introducing the clip is Jazz saxophone great Branford Marsalis. He played on Sting’s first 2 albums and tours and also guest played for many other artists including CSN. You can also hear him on the “Sneakers” movie soundtrack.
RIP Cros.. I've been watching a lot of Crosby and CSNY documentaries lately thinking his death may be near. It's too bad that Nash wouldn't at least forgive David before he died. We are losing the greatest generation of Classic Rock music at a fast pace now. Christine McVie, now Crosby.. Who's next? All these greats from the late 60s/early 70s are now in their very late 70s to early 80s. There will be another generation of great music that came out from 1964 to the late 80s. To me Grunge killed good rock and roll, and todays young people don't put out rock. It's pathetic really.
David Crosby suffered from baldness but still chose to keep his hair long. He was a fighter for sure. But the video says that it’s the villain who goes to jail, so why is David Crosby going to jail? Is he the villain? And I suppose that goofy kid is the hero?! Some one ought to make a legitimate music video for this song.
