It's beautiful to see the good ending, how the one strong enough to take care of the rest, has their own batles too, how deep he had fallen, and how he got back up and take his role back again, being a stronger hero than before
Welp, comparing the DW Hero to RW Hero brings up the obvious question of "how evil is the bastard", a thing that also comes up with Omori. Well, Hero's variant seems more sadistic. That's the easiest way to put it.
So is nobody gonna talk about how fighting hero every cutscene it’s just playing the last resort thing? Not trying to be rude but it’s like “ oh shit wrong song!”
Just like sunny vs omori, hero cant beat tekina. But, lets assume that hero keeps fighting. Hero's mind starts breaking, tekina starts melting, you can kinda see omori's appearance too. "*You knoŵ WHOSE fault it is...*" "*kel loved her, and SUNNY killed her...*" "*Aubrey loved her...*" "*YOU loved her...*" "*and yet, he kills her, and everyone just a cts sooo fine...*" Hero replies, "no, i cant do this, he didnt mean it!" "If he was so selfish... why would he come back after years!? He had the chance to leave, He suffered as much as i did, and yet, he didnt give up..." Hero runs away, going through an endless loop of chaos, he sees a lot of eyeless copies of himself follow him, sometimes tekina reappears to refight hero, but by pressing "Run!" He gets away easily, hero is stressed out. Eventually, he sees mari, he runs up to her and...! Hero wakes up, he sees kel. "Bro, what is happening? You were whispering weird stuff and i tried to wake you up and..." Hero says "...hey, i'm fine, i just feel a bit dizzy." "Kel." "...?" "How were you able to forgive sunny so quickly? I loved her, but he..." hero says, crying. "Well, Sunny isnt that bad. After hanging out with him, you just get to see his good side. He isn't evil, he has suffered a lot. And I cant hate someone like that." Kel says, staring at the ground. "Hm." "Why were you asking that anyways? You were doing great up until recently." "I... its nothing." "*sigh* i may be a bit simple minded at times, but, just know that we're here for you. Have you considered talking to sunny? Maybe that'll help a bit." Kel suggests, placing his hand over hero's shoulder. "I guess. Thanks kel." "No problem! At least, you didnt yell like last time..." Timeskip, hero visits mari's grave, sunny is standing there. "Hey sunny." Hero says. Sunny looks away. "About mari... i forgive you, it must've been really hard. I should've been there for you, and yet, i just kept locking myself away inside of a room. So thats why, i dont hate you, i just hope we can start over. Its what she would want." Hero says.
Wow, reading your description, I'm surprised to you say this is unironically the best mod next to Reverie despite the ridiculous title. XD Seeing the premise just a few minutes though... sigh... poor Hero. :( Also, I want to say the background in his headspace with all the Mari memories are adorable and well put together, but in this context, that's just kind of terrifying. ._. It makes Hero sound like some kind of yandere for Mari, like he misses her almost a little TOO much even if she DID kind of... you know... died from manslaughter. ._. Is Hero going to be alright in any of these endings? o.O Sigh... I guess I'll see. :p
