Egypt, The Sudan's, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, And Djibouti were some of the most mentioned parts of Africa in ancient history

How come the original paintings are darker 🧐

These whites and blacks saying the ancient Egyptians were from Asia must show me the Asians/Arabs representing themselves in the same way as ancient Egyptian in there murals, and artwork. Any person with eyes have seen how the Asians, Greeks,Romans and others represent themselves. If the ancient Egyptians were anything like these present day Egyptian, Herodotus surely would have said they are like the people from Asia. The whites in Southern Africa tried the same thing by saying southern Africa had no black people living there.

The first race of people there were not the same as the second who are still there today, ancient DNA shows that almost all places were completely later taken over by a new race and replaced.

This lecture is pretty dry (no pun intended). But if you’re into pure physical geography, YOU ARE IN FOR A TREAT! What I enjoyed most about this lecture was the occasional descriptions of Herodotus’s intellectual feats when he found that he couldn’t make proper sense of some particular information provide him. And my favorite example of THAT is Herodotus’s efforts to ferret out the reason the Nile commences it’s annual flood every Summer Solstice, lasts for 100 days, then begins subsiding. Some cool stuff.

How is it that a lengthy description of Egypt and the surrounding people ,according to Herodotus , is given here, yet his description of the Egyptian people is omitted. The viewer would be wise to seek out Herodotus's description of the Egyptians to complete the narrative, as this presentation is hollow at the core.

The average homeowner paints their home evey five years because of the sun and ultraviolet radiation making paint fade. new modern paints have UV protection. Now based on how some of those wall painting in Egypt, can you imagine how dark those painting were originally without any UV protection for thousands of years. Btw, UV is also present at night and it penetrates the Earth according to NASA.

Oh, the rain forests connected across the great continent there ... at that time. I imagine these wonders at that time, and actually I admit I get sad ... l mourn the natural bounty of creatures and millions of acres of lush life ... we can never recoup all this loss on this planet. My grand-kids, what do I say to them? It keeps me awake ... but then ... Got curious. As a non white or non black related race person, I really don't understand why people are arguing. Some say ancient Egyptians were black, and some say they aren't. I think (just saying there's no real evidence of what race they were) they were some sort of black at first. However, as egypt grew and there was more trade going, many countries contacted them in a good way, or in a bad way. We can't deny that. Don't you guys think they got mixed with Europeans and the middle eastern and become in the middle? Ancient Egyptians painted nubians as real black color for the skin, and tanned skin for them selves. I think this shows they had different skin colors, and I think we should not say they were black from the coloring. Maybe it could of been tanned skin from outside working, Right? And as the time past, they drew them selves as more lighter skin, and mummies that got DNA test had blond, red hair and blue of light brown eyes, so there's a high chance of saying they are mixture of those other races. I think its too early to say what race they were. Please don't be mad at me I'm still learning and I'm just saying that... chill out you know... this is only my opinion. Let's not white wash or black wash eather. Thanks for reading :)

When herodotus mentions "Egyptians on one side and Ethiopians on the other" you know what he is referring to? Greeks called Sub-Saharan africans Ethiopians. As did everyone in the bronze age.

For all the people saying Kemet means it was a land of all black people need to educate themselves. Kemet translates as "Black Land", in reference to the fertile banks and fields surrounding the Nile (black from the soil). In contrast, "deshret" is the term for the "Red Land" or the desert (a modern term derived from "deshret") that surrounds the fertile "kemet". Were there black people in ancient Egypt? Yes. Were they the majority population? No. The lands of Kush to the south have always had close relationships with Egypt for better or worse and this is where black people in Egypt came from. Likewise the Mediterranean peoples also were a part of the population. The people of ancient Egypt look like modern Egyptians. All i have to say is that the paintings in most old egyptians hieroglyphics were brown and black people Thats what I see. Brown and black people like ethiopians nubians and the likes.
