You know, you can equip your garrisoned heroes with the set/pieces of legion to further boost creature growth in that town. That makes the garrisoned heroes somewhat usefull, also to equip gold bags and vial of mercury/gem rings etc.
Actually It turns out that this skeleton tactic doesn't depend at all on the starting castle or even presence of the necromacy ones on the map. What you need is just to hire these heroes(with the necromancy speciality) and then beating legions of weak creatures(actually the battles itself could be done with any troops not restricted to skeletons). Upgrade(if needed at all) is in the forts. Thus it is not a power of Necropolice itself but rather a general feature. It is interesting that I am completely missed this way of playing. I am tempting to install the game and try it by myself. It seems that becides diplomacy it is the only way to get extra-huge power in a legal way.
Yes, however that isn't a huge bonus with skeletons if your doing many battles because even though it increases their hitpoints it also means animate dead resurrects less. So you might as well just put something else in those slots.
Chris67132 That is correct. It is somewhat even in that regard. But if you use elixir of life, you will get the benefit to cut the losses of skeletons and do more damage to the enemy. Therefore, you can lessen the stack of enemy soldier and lose much less skeletons on the next enemy attack (hope you understand my point). Thanks for the vids, I enjoy every second of it. Take care and keep up with the good work :))) By the way, I don't think you can use that regeneration on skeletons tho XD
Chris67132 I guess the positive thing from that setup is that you lose less Skeletons, meaning you would have more Skeletons to do more damage than without the elixir of life. But as long as you have enough Skeletons to not suffer fatal from a 10-30 % loss early in the battle you'd be fine. Or in other words: if you are comfortable without extra health, Animate Dead will always save you.
I would point out that Animate Dead resurrect the AMOUNT of hit points not a number of creatures. Thus your ability to resurrect doesn't depend on the individual hit points. You have to resurrect all damage inflicted by an opponent. It is a fixed number thus it doesnt matter you ressurrect 1000 or just 10 creatures provided that in any case you need to resurrect 10 000 hit points of the damage absorbed. On the other hand it says that: "In addition to the regular bonuses, the Elixir of Life provides a 25% Health bonus to all living creatures in the hero's army. Undead and non-living units are not affected."
