love the vid, you have a really good Editing and writing style, plus it's nice to see some Hots stuff. looking forward to your next guide, i'm hoping it's jaina she's my go to confort champ.
The thing is this, the q build makes the most sense when playing with your tank because at high ranks, if you get exposed you will be a liability to your team regardless of your team's resources. So if you're good at kt, convection is strong - but you need to grab that level 4 mana talent. That +200 damage isn't a joke late game, coupled with when you either get a hero you know is slower or will be stunned you basically get +400 damage on that guy, and +16% of their hp if you hit two targets, which instantly kills most squishies from a single q throw, secondly, when you hit that double q, you have another q to use. So you play with your q range, q a guy that guy will take a lot of damage, if he dies you hold q to poke again or play up and kill another guy, if you are near turrets, just q the turrets/ the fort and siege with Fenix. Another aspect you didn't mention with kt is that regarding his mana problem, is that his q cd is 7 sec baseline, tho with living bomb at 13 and if you hit two heroes with q 20 the cd can be lowered, but the thing is this; base mana regen is 3 per sec at level 0 and it scales up to about 5 per sec at level 20, so if you get level 4 when you'll have 540 mana (+10 mana per level) - 5% of that is 27 mana, meaning you get back around 70% mana with the extra mana reg at level 4, so you don't go oom from pressing his most important spell alone, his q. The main reason you go oom on kt is because you're spamming stun and trying to initiate for no reason, it's not even important to try unless their tank is exposed or in a overextended position to fight, but usually if you just do your damage to the guy which you should focus your attention on, you'll kill that guy (with the help of your team ofc). Sometimes when doing damage you want to stun so you can get out a manual cast w, but it's not important no matter what level 16 q talent you're going to take, so you should stop manual casting unless you're sieging or hitting a minion for cd on q. Aside from all that, the mana shield is appealing with the cdr e talent at 4, as it helps kt do crazy stuff to create openings or to peel for himself even further > effectively increasing his damage and health pool in the process- but you have to be really good otherwise it's kinda inty, and all while the level 1 damage talents usually help you confirm kills, which will win you the game. As for those talents, and especially with convection when you have double q at 16 and you hit a squishy, that will deal around 12-14% of their health as extra damage and that's usually enough to kill them from a single ability cast and for effectiveness sake it's much better to kill a guy immediately than trying to go for another spell rotation. KT is very weird among mages, the reason he is considered hard to play is because you have to know how to manipulate the enemy team into bad positions for them to fight in and how to properly get maximum value out of your spells all the time; like i said if you hit a q before a guy is cc'd you do the most damage because they will take the most intervals of damage at the same time making it almost impossible to save without an instant cleanse or things like divine shield, palm or medivh shield. I personally think the q build helps kt win the game, since your job with kt is to put maximum pressure on healers. Most healers don't even have cleanse at level 7 so it further evaluates his role to try to have the tempo and kills on the rotations whenever you can. As with this meta you get the forts, you kinda just win, cause you will have the map and you will be able to grab camps and clear their camps more effectively with the q build, or even have your team be on the look out for enemies to kill, while you grab all the camps alone in prestine timings.
I personally love KTs D build.......so many (free) living bombs! Not as survivable as going for Mana Shield, but much better sustain over the course of a match
A trick against kt, the phenix will target players in priority, if a kt uses it to siege and you want to protect buildings you can stand in the aoe to tank the damage and protect the buildings if you position yourself right.
Another trick, kt players tend to favor using either offensive abilities then E or E then offensive. Try to engage them and see how they react, if they tend to use E first, focus on dodging that immediately as the fight breaks out. If they tend to favor damage you know they will use E after q and w, be ready to dodge after those.
Pick convection for free dopamine boost whenever you manage to complete the quest! Or suffer and cri everytiem you die.... Convection is still playable tbh, mostly just good for the PvE damage and for when ur hitting only 1 enemy with ur Q, that being said...it does require you to run good mana talent at 4 and either have shitty unmodified E or be really good with your E aim to get all that mana back from it. I really wish they buffed it and made it easier to obtain. Also I feel like Q build ain't that super awesome in most game (quick match at least) anyways. It really puts the emphasis on hitting multiple enemies with your Qs, which isnt easy without proper team setup. In some cases, I even like to play the trait build and just aa down these pesky assasins trying to swoop my ass. Going just full on Ultimate build with spell power is actually pretty fun. But generally, mana addict and Living Bomb build are my go-tos, the poke from it is soooo strong. If you go Pyroblast, you can even just get 1 Q on a squishy enemy, apply living bomb thru Ignite at 16 and then Pyroblast their ass and they are as good as dead lmao.
Also - Energy Roil at 7 is so OP. It makes your E almost free, and gives you resets so you can stunlock enemies almost by yourself. yes, most people pick range, but they are wrong. More stuns is more better.
Energy Roil is at 4, not 7, but yes, underrated talent for sure, very good against dive Range is still the pick most of the time, but Energy Roil absolutely has its place
@@Utopiaisnear ur right, i meant 4. But i literally never pick range. I'm not landing a max range E anyway so idc about the range as any decent enemy will dodge it. Cooldown though is always good.
I like picking convection BECAUSE it makes me a target which can lead to some fun, baity plays that can lead the enemy team to do a dumb. Psychological warfare, man.
Dude, you are couple of years late you're lucky that they didnt shut down the game otherwise you couldnt even make this video in my opinion change the game, cause it's waste of time and barely people play this game
