That's the thing about heroin. No matter the upbringing, no matter the situation, it can get you. Because if your brain enjoys opiates (some don't), I will tell you with confidence, there is nothing better in the entire world. Nothing at all. Imagine the thing you want most in the world is right there in a little pill. Nobody plans to get addicted, before it happens it seems like it would never happen to you; you can just decide to stop. It sneaks up on you but it is so hard to resist when the greatest possible feeling in life is so easily achievable by swallowing a pill. Once you're hooked, heroin is the next logical step for many. You want to embrace that euphoric apathy for the rest of your life. The warm embrace of opiates is the easiest place to exist. If there's anything you don't like in your life, it all washes away with that rush. None of it matters. Nothing matters and it's bliss. Soon enough the bliss fades and you can't reach that point anymore, but you try and try. Now you need the opiates in order to exist in the world without complete suffering. You're a junkie and there's no more euphoria. There's nothing but thinking about your next score in order to avoid the utter agony of sobriety. Don't even start because once you've lived on opiates, if you end up liking them, life will never be the same without them. It will ruin your life and change you in ways that were previously inconceivable.

True. Excellent post. Heroin addiction is probably the worst addiction to stop. The craving for it may never leave a recovering addict. I just hate the word junkie or addict. It's more like a sickness and the only way to stop is to be fed up,get help and rewire your thinking to embrace the Joy's of a sober lifestyle. It can be done with a will of steel. I've never tried heroin but I've lived with addicts and had to move 1000 miles away to get away from them cause they destroyed my house. Some things are unforgivable.

Very true. There is nothing like it at all. That's why they give similar drugs to end of life cancer patients. It gives them a euphoric feeling. But if you have ever been a heroin addict. They won't have the same pain relieving result . Which is a huge bummer. My preferred drug. Been clean a long time now. I can't go back. It gets me every time. I love it too much.

0 0 no detoxing isn’t just it. Getting clean is all about gaining confidence in yourself. treatment is supposed to help build you up the actual drug use is the smallest portion of getting back on track the worst part is many addicts have mental health issues and without addressing those problems once out of rehab it will be back to self medication not enough multi diagnosis facilities( mental health and addiction). Rehab 12 times is a lot but average is about 6 before success.

@stormz900

Bullying isn’t something that can be stopped it seems more an evolutionary trait to weed weak children out physiologically, as a parent you have to give your kids an outlet to cope with bullying. I was bullied and it pushed me to succeed in school just to stick it to the kids who where bullying. Not the perfect coping mechanism but worked for me personally.

Parents have to do their jobs too. YOu cant just send your kid to school and not know who the teachers are not know the kids parents and all that. Sending your kid in beat walmart clothes is just another thing to get bullied for. It sounds horrible that you should buy name brand clothes but its true. Same goes for sports. If a kid is good at sports and starts getting good enough to play with the older kids then thats another safeguard from bullying. A lot of parents are so out of touch with how school REALLY is.

I think it all started with weed when she said it wasn’t bad, and she also this “ I can’t believe I was losing me Friends for weed”. She put her guard down on weed and drugs. @DW-lx9wt

@@FugaConManolo an addict is an addict. It's an imbalance in our brain. Most of us have addictive personalities which attach to something. It maybe something good like children, work, a hobby, or, sometimes it's drugs. Those people you know that got hard into sports, music, even plain academia at school most likely have addictive traits. That's why drug addiction can hit anyone from any walk of life. There's plenty of people that smoke weed, hell, even taken heroin a few times and just walked away. Your way of describing it as a 'one thing led to another' is the old way of thinking. Exposure, sure, but, one leading to another is wrong at its core.

@@wayofthegun6224 That addictive personality would latch onto something else, that's how addictive personalities work especially when deprived of love/help/understanding and worsened by other factors. How do you explain that a lot of people do weed, or even molly, once or a couple times and genuinely don't get addicted? Yes not doing molly will ensure you don't get addicted to molly specifically, no it won't ensure you have a "good life" free of addiction (addiction isn't just drugs btw)

I met Ronnie when she was admitted to one of these "looney bins" here near fort worth, at the time I was struggling with my own horrific struggle that made it exceedingly hard to accept myself. When I met Ronnie, she was the shinning light at the end of the tunnel. I felt alone, I was sent there, I was told I was loved but it felt like a void, I felt unwanted but lied to as well. Every day we were there together we spoke & she always made me laugh, she one night was telling me stories about her father, and I regret immensely losing contact with her when I left the facility. But I had so many things affecting me that not many other things were able to continue happening for my life & I felt like she (and the others) were "to important" to hear what I had to say. How Ironic is it that if I would have just kept contact I could have given her the friend she needed & had at that time, but with my own problems I was unable to help even myself at the time. We mutually needed each other & I will forever regret not being able to still know how she is today. Ronnie, if you are reading this- you improved my confidence as a young male who was not accepted by most of my family & friends. At that point, I had given up & your generocity changed my perception of how you can still meet friends & meet people in a mutual situation where you feel isolated completely. I have thought of you each of these years, thinking to myself when we talked to the guy in the Courtyard about using mushrooms & in the "living room" talking about your parents- hoping that things got better. I miss you so much even if we didnt not know each other for very long- with everything in my heart I hope that we can speak again, or that you are able to rebuild your life with your son- its never to late. You have decades to come, NEVER give up- people you would never think of (me) are still thinking about you. Thank you so much Ronnie

You become a product of your environment... So essentially, she is sick
@SilkyShish
@SilkyShish 4 года назад
@@ugladden - I absolutely disagree. That theory does not apply to every single person. I certainly did not become a product of my environment and I faced so much adversity that caused me a lot of pain and hurt even more so than what this girl Ronnie has gone through (if we are comparing notes). And I didn't choose drugs or get addicted to anything. I did not allow the traumas and tragedies of my childhood and young adulthood to define me and I did not play victim. I rose above it to make a happy and successful, productive life for myself with a solid career and success. It wasn't easy, but I did it. And so can this girl if she truly wants to make different choices and get help. Not everyone who has faced trauma and tragedy end up like Ronnie and so many others like her. There are so many who like myself not only survive, but thrive.
@SilkyShish
@SilkyShish 4 года назад
@NMB - Thank you. I agree with you that there are those from desirable family environments who don't turn out well. One of my good friends was raised by awesome parents in an upper class, privileged home and he turned out wonderful, has a upper management job, his wife is also beautiful, successful and kind and they have 3 kids and a wonderful home. But, his younger brother from the exact same family environment got into drugs and is an addict. He has stolen from his family, his friends and even by accident cut off part of his hand at work because he was so stoned and out of it. This is a situation of two siblings from the exact same privileged background where one ended up living a productive, positive life and the other one went down the wrong road and made bad choices. This Ronnie girl in this video had a choice and did not have to choose drugs and to abuse substances. And she still has a choice now.

THAT IS WHY, YOU TRIED TO DESTROY HER. SHE WILL SURVIVE. SHE WILL PICK HERSELF UP, AND SHE WILL SHINE, BRIGHTER THAN ANYTHING, THAT THOSE OF YOU THAT PUT OUT HER LIGHT FOR AWHILE. It freaked me the fuck out 🤔 .I went back to her house in the old Neighborhood and the family had just moved outta state.. I wanted to apologize, but wasn't sure what to do.. About a month or so later, I stopped at a Bar near the ole neighborhood, and saw a girl from it in the place. I told her my story. She looked at me and said ."Becky is in the back playing Pool"..Yep..she was there..I felt my guts turn as she told me, probably the way Becky's did when I screamed stupud shit in her face on the bus or wherever.. My leg's were wobbly walking back, as I approached Becky her stare wasn't exactly inviting, and rightly so..I basically just said . "Becky, I was a horrible human being to you in school and elsewhere, I don't have an excuse, at all..nothing excuses that kinna behavior, but I am sorry, and feel bad about it today.. She looked at me and her glare remained icy..She said "Tony I hated you for year's after what you put me through, but holding resentments can be just as detrimental to a soul as ridicule. Theres no shame in being an addict, they usually come from deep pain within that they cannot get through. Thats where society should come in and give them our hand to pull them out and love them without enabling them . We need to teach our children simply by loving them, love and boosting them up every single day . Regardless of childhoods and weither there was trauma or not or cycles continuing . We have the power to break that and to build our kids up and give them nothing but love .

She is so smart and talented. All of the people you guys interview have potential, but for her, I see someone who is really crying out for help and isn't too far gone. I know she wants to change and I know how hard it is. My mom is addicted to cocaine and she is struggling so badly. I know she can get through it, and so can Ronnie. I believe in her.

mortse 90 I don’t think that they meant it like that.. Even though her story is tough, she still is very beautiful. It seems like she was trying to give a compliment. Please just skip the comment if you don’t like it.

@@dabulls1g yes what we're saying (I also commented this) is she doesn't have to resort to being an addict, there is so many opportunities out there and it's really sad to see this is the environment she lives in :( I just want to help her. she can truly prosper! I hate that she sees herself as worthless, you know? she has so much potential.

@Yusra Ilyas but the point of this video is not to teach you that "pretty people can be bullied too" it has nothing to do with beauty and neither does her success (ideally). She was destroyed by a bunch of people because she didn't know who she was because she is young and that is when peoples psyches are molded the easiest. She can do ANYTHING she wants and be happy doing it. I don't understand why people see such superficial traits such as appearance which is relative anyways. She's also incredibly brave, and strong and intelligent because she has been through ALL of this and has survived it. The point of the video is to show her inner strengths and that appearance is meaningless and should not equate to success or happiness, period.

adeline wurzer i personally feel like euphoria is showing the difference between how teens use drugs and how it affects everyone differently, rue was affected differently than like maddie or nate. it does glamorize it but it also shows how drugs make everyone feel different

I’m more upset at the fact of all those students and faculty members who did nothing to stop the bullying, nothing to help her. Shame on everyone who was in her class, who taunted her, and those parents of children, now adults, SHAME, that you can’t raise decent human beings . Everyone is at fault for harming this girl at a young age, I hope the now adults who were in that school know they should be ashamed of themselves , my heart goes out to you , i wish to had met you ❤️as a young Mexican lady my heart goes out to you

Fabiola Cuatlal sadly that’s how it is all across the US when she said no 14 year old should feel like that, she’s right but most of them do. She didnt speak up for herself and obviously her family didn’t get her help while seeing her suffer. Teenagers girls especially are hormonal we get sad. You can’t be weak of you’ll end up like this, and I don’t mean a herion addict I mean a sad broken person and at some point it doesn’t matter what happened you need to find it in yourself to rise above and grow and build your self worth and learn to love yourself

I just found this channel and it’s really eye-opening. I normally find this type of content too heavy but having the ability to hear people tell their stories has really changed the way I view things. I hope she is ok & this life brings her all the peace and joy it’s deprived her. Also, I don’t know if it’s just me but she really reminds me of a real life version of “Rue” from Euphoria. An absolutely beautiful person inside and out just battling internal demons and struggling with addiction.

I'm appreciative of all of the positive comments I am seeing, but I am disturbed that so many mention her looks. Regardless of whether or not someone is attractive, we all are deserving of love, redemption, and care. Ronnie's recovery will take more than loving herself on the outside. True introspection and self-love are what we all should hope to attain, and I sincerely hope that she (and others like her) find what they need to push through.
