I will say this, they are correct! I have done all my renovations on my own(single mom here with little prior experience until a few years ago) this product is a bi*ch! I have laid over 1000 ft.² of sleep, black, and my home, but I didn’t seal this prior to installing and I am in the process of cutting out $800 worth of these herringbone tiles and drywall they are on. I sealed a few times before grouting, but the only way to get the haze off is to scrape each individual tile piece extensively. So disappointed, but I just went out and got new product and drywall and I’m doing it again because it did look amazing except for the discoloration. Seal seal seal seal seal before installation after installation and then some! Kitchen looks beautiful guys! Good job!

Wow! The back splash looks amazing you and your family did a wonderful job; your kitchen is absolutely beautiful! I love a white kitchen; I just did some updates to my kitchen, new white counter tops and new appliances, the estimate to just replace the front doors of my cabinets was $12,000 so I just painted them white again and they look great and I saved a lot of money so I think it is so smart that you are doing the updates DIY. Everything in your kitchen looks great, I am really enjoying watching your renovation videos and learning a lot, can't wait to see your next video thanks!

I was so worried that the backsplash would make the kitchen feel dark because I love a white kitchen, too. Thankfully, with the bright white countertops and cabinets, it still feels bright and spacious. We love it! HOLY COW. I can't believe it would have been that much to replace the faces. Thank you for your honesty. I just got Marble Herringbone mosaic sheets and going around the outlets I was assuming there was an easy way and I would just have to research. Good to know that is is just plain difficult

Great question! I had to go back and look at a few things because I couldn't recall off the top of my head. We looked at the directions on both our mastic and our tiles. Both of those places are great resources. The tile suggested a 1/8 in grout line size, so I think that's what we went with.

Oh no! Believe me, my grouting video would have been a blooper reel. lol. Truly, just keep your counter WELL-covered, have several buckets of clean water on hand for swapping out often, and follow the directions on your grout as closely as possible. I watched a ton of videos, and I felt like everyone told me something different. I just did my best! If you are using the exact same tile, make sure it's sealed!
