Not a lot of people really pay attention to politics, especially on the local level. It took Jan. 6th for enough laypeople to start questioning their party affiliation to finally make a difference. That pivotal moment in combination with the pro-infection movement tying into core Republican circles tipped the scales in favor of Democrats. The Republican party is in shambles. With any luck, they'll split completely, with the Trumpists forging their own party and the remnants of the GOP trying to lean a little further left in the hopes of garnering enough support to win even a single federal-stage election. That's ultimately what they have in store- change or die out.

As a native San Francisco and I am appalled that we're not spending this money on more housing. People are getting so sick stuck outside and yet we keep building apartments for Twitter employees but refuse to fund critical life-saving services. There are currently dozens of people locked in acute and Subacute mental health facilities simply because we don't have the beds to release them to a safe place with support. I can confirm this because I directly do that work. How about you fund General Hospital? How about you start paying social workers a wage where they're not still living in poverty? Shameful
Exactly they continue to not do for the things needed to be done but always has the money for this type of stuff and war! Get the homeless houses and the hungry fed and neighborhoods set up with programs that will humanize the ones they have been spending so much time on dehumanizing them! PERIOD. Instead put money into kiing machines that's going to go around executing these same people I just spoke of.

I think that Roy Wood Jr is incredibly funny. The problem is that while the host should be a comedian, in most cases, he's the straight man, especially on The Daily Show. I'm not sure that Roy Wood Jr. can do "straight man," and even if he could, it would almost certainly be a waste of his talents.
