Hershey Park Carousel Band Organ - 2015 

The old paintwork was the original paintwork too except for the light blue paint over the slabs on where the drums sit. I just hope they painted over that paintwork and didn't strip it off. That would be quite a crime in my point of view. This band organ is nearly a century in age. It originally left the factory for Marion, Ohio in 1926.

Carousels and their Wurlitzer's. Nope.

@@khmam The Wurlitzer 153 at the Hershey Park Carousel was built in 1926 and has the serial number 3839 and was first brought to Marion, Ohio. The Hershey Park Carousel was built in Baltimore, Maryland and first had a Bruder 107 band organ according to Rory(Carrousels and their Wurlitzer's). There is a factory picture of it in Liberty Heights Park in Baltimore(it's original location) with it's original band organ. The Wurlitzer 153 more than likely came when the carousel sold to Hershey Park in the mid 1940's. It probably went on a much smaller carousel originally.
