In this video, Andrew shows how to program a factory remote for a 1997 Subaru Outback. If you’re reading this and thinking “I’d swear I already saw this on his channel,” here’s the scoop:
In 2017, I was a Subaru owner who needed to replace the remotes for his vehicle. As it turned out, there was a pretty simple process to program them that anyone could do if they knew how, so I did a quick video to show how to do it. To date, it was my most watched video on RU-vid.
Fast forward to 2019. While it’s my most popular video, I still cringe at the production quality. I shot it impromptu in my car, rambled (a LOT) and really wasn’t happy with how it went, in spite of it being my most popular video. So I took a page out of Alton Brown’s book with Good Eats Reloaded and redid it-shaving a whole minute off of the original video I things get right to the point quicker.
