I have always been very critical of my own work I have made many pieces on the lathe but never felt it was gift worthy . At min 2:45 you said the most profound sentence I ever heard. "It is HAND MADE not CNC" you are spot on. That put things in perspective for me. Thank you I love your videos

Good morning Thomas. Beautiful work as always. Few things. I agree with decorating the bottom. Shows excellent craftsmanship. Second, when you expanded the jaws on the bottom, there was plenty of wood to support it without having to worry about it splitting. I always pay strict attention to your videos. I learn from you and the apply what I learned to my work. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. Have a blessed day.

Thank you for suggestion, I just upload a live edge bowl video,dimentions are 200mm diameter and almost 150mm deep so that could be interesting to you.... I'll see if other agree for fan based project suggestions 😀

Very interesting project. I was curious how the faceting would be done. It was great watching how you worked through the various "design opportunities" that occurred. Those of us who haven't been turning as long have many more of those opportunities and it is really helpful to see how to deal with them. Also really liked seeing how you made the modifications by removing the beads -- that's one of the things I really need to work on -- being willing to erase details that are getting in the way of a nice, esthetic design. Loved the way you decorated the bottom; that really looks great. Yours was the first of the four I have watched, now to watch the other three to see their take on this challenge.
@tomislavtomasicwoodturning
@tomislavtomasicwoodturning Месяц назад
Thank you Mark, for lovely words... Its just a wood and experiment will get you some opportunities in design that are not seen before or as common.... So just don't think about those if happens and go with the flow... I think its correct saying😅 Thank you for supporting my work
