Welcome I'm Tomislav. I've been woodworking and wood turning most of my life. As a full time woodturner I'll show you from week to week one of the most interesting projects for clients and maybe inspired you along the way.

Not really into bright colors on my turnings but I really like yours! The process with the tape is interesting and I might have to give it a try. It's a great idea! Thank you for sharing. Take care, Dave
You do awesome work. Happy to see your sponsorship from sandpaper company. Great achievement. Be sure to show their brand name on your sandpaper as you use it in your videos! All the best to you and keep making videos!
Spalting is simple. Introduce the spalt fungus via chips and shavings, create any composting environment. This can be as simple as burying a piece of wood in a woodchip pile and cover it with grass clippings and don't let it get too dry. Green grass clippings will speed up the process faster than anything else. If possible, rotate your wood every 2-4 weeks. Great video. Thanks.
Huzzah and congratulations! Good on klingspor as well! Excellent product; used some of their 220 grit yesterday. (Also use Sia; occasionally 3M.) Klingspor has woodworking shops in North Carolina (north of me). The closest one to me closed, sadly, but a couple more within (beautiful) driving range. Always glad to see more sponsors on the title(?) page. You've earned and deserve all.
I should add, there's a bit of an irony here: you're preaching the gospel of less sanding! But as we all know, you can have the sharpest tools and best techniques, but some finicky woods just demand a lot of sanding. Might as well use the best. The cheap stuff ends up costing the most in time and amount of material, not to mention the greater possibility (as you mention) of heat damage. Often similar results with cheap anything.
Thank you Tomislav. I enjoy your videos and learn something from each one. I dont know if you can answer questions here but i"ll ask any way. I have a 12x21 midi lathe. when I put a fairly large piece of wood on it to do a bark edge bowl I have trouble when i get to the inside. My lathe shakes and I cant get up enough speed to get a smooth cut. thanks for any help you can provide.
Dang, that was an annoying fly. A beautiful form, and a very interesting technique. Much shinier paint than you use now, I believe. many thanks for another interesting and informative video.
Thanks Tomislav. I learn something from every one of your videos. You are not only a great turner but also a great teacher and artist. Thank you for all your videos.
This may be one of the most valuable videos I've seen with regard to my own goals as a turner. The method of making a tenon using the chuck and tailstock pressure at the beginning is excellent. Why didn't I think of that? This is a video worth saving for the future! Thank you sincerely.
Every company that sponsors your channel are obviously very aware of how good a turner you are and how good your tutorials are. You are an ideal channel to sponsor as you are definitely on the up as regards to subscribers and views. Well deserved.
Absolutely brilliant, I think the brilliance of the paint finish really adds to the effect. I had a smile on my face as I saw what was evolving and I can see how this would add some creative finishes/decoration to make it an artwork piece for those turners with an artistic flair. You live in a country that still manufactures quality products, such as the tape, sandpaper and spray packs etc. that electrical tape is so different in quality to much of what floods our country’s imports. Great piece and a nice change from traditional wood bowls, it has given me some idea’s. Once again, my thanks and greetings from Tasmania, Australia.👍😁🇦🇺🦘
Really enjoying seeing what each of you picks for your project this month. Very neat looking piece, really like the pattern with the tape and the bright color on the outside of the bowl.
Very nice project ….. never would have thought of using this often used technique in custom auto and motorcycle painting in a wood turning ! That you for sharing your creativity Tomislav 🤠🇨🇱
“Out grown” not “over grown this part of my turning career” is how my we in us would say it. But hey, English is not your native tongue and you speak English better than most English speakers. The bowl is great btw! I’ve learned a lot from your channel. Keep it coming!
Love the idea and approach, you may like to try pin striping tape, comes in different widths and will save the trimming stage, another project for me to try, thank you
