7 Months of solo work with lots of Colorado winter compressed into 5 minutes. What an amazing build of the hexagonal hot tub. Mono pour concrete tub with captured plumbing faced with moss rock, glass tile, and flag stone. Ipe deck surround. Remote pump house with two pump system and custom Arduino control with IP67 controller. Electric 18kW EcoSmart heater. This thing is a beast. Beautiful Hot tub! But the title of the video is misleading! It should be "How i condensed a 3 day hottub..build project down to a high speed 5 minute video with computer software" The high speed video will be almost worthless to someone trying to build the same hottub..at home. Also i find the background music annoying. But nice hottub anyway! Also the cost of all the materials used From Home Depot or wherever should be included.

Hi, Super build, but as an rc hot tub engineer I have loads of questions. What is the heat loss like through concrete or did you add some insulation into the mix. It seems you have 3" pipe going to all outlets. Why not step it down to 1" to fit standard hot tub jets. It would increase the pressure greatly ( at least to what is available at commercially made tubs.)

Very late reply, but it looks like they put 2” foam down almost from the beginning, I’d assume that would be adequate insulation?

@@garrett3108⁠⁠⁠⁠definitely looks to me that he put the rigid insulation in first as well. I’d be concerned with burying the piping directly in the concrete, if anything ever needs replacing, that’s a big headache. Also @trevorbest5715, decreasing pipe diameter reduces pressure while increasing velocity.

Great video and amazing craftsmanship but I must say, that’s probably the most over complicated and over the top way of making a hot tub.. There are FAAAR easier and more straightforward ways of constructing a hot tub with an identical end result and exact visual look.. I would hate to think how much those poor people were charged for that.. ✌️
