Mate, you're too good at this. I'm jealous at your content creation game. I saw your title and I was like "bastard... my titles are never that good". I'm a simple minded fool so although I've always thought pantheistic mythologies were super cool, I've never been drawn into a deep dive. I do love hearing people smarter than me talk about it though. That's why you hooked me into being a sub 🥂
You’re too kind my friend, I thought this title was absolute rubbish. I think one of my favorite things about the pantheistic mythologies is how many overlaps and similar themes there are. It says so much about the human experience.
I'm not sure what started my love for Greek mythology. Possibly Xena. In high school my favorite class was a Greek mythology class and then for my senior project I wrote a story using Greek mythology characters to explain why the willow weeps, I might still have that!
I love your passion for Greek mythology, Eloise! It's so interesting to hear about all the influences that seemed to have fired your obsession from childhood AND I totally agree with you about the creative license myths give us woo!! I'm thrilled about your fantasy series how exciting!!! Can't wait until "Maiden of Artemis" comes out! That cover was GORGEOUS :D I am not entirely familiar with ALL the myths but Odysseus story struck me when I was in high school.
Salutations,! Questions for the week: 1. Did you have a nice Thanksgiving? 2. To date, what is your favorite movie concerning Greek mythology? 3. What are your thoughts, opinions, concerns and advice on dialogue tags?😁
1. It was lovely! Very quiet with good food. How about you? Hope you weren’t working! 2. As much side eye as I give it, Disney’s Hercules has a special place in my heart. 3. Dialogue tags! I’m not one of those people who’s only going to use said… and if there’s more than two people having an exchange, they’re very necessary. Definitely committed some dialogue-tag-omission crimes in my earlier drafts… but that’s what editors are for.
@@authoreloisebahr I worked Thanksgiving so I can be home Christmas. In my line of work (truck driver) the industry usually lets you have one or the other but not both...🥴
Did you ever check out any of Rick Riordan's stories? That's how I got into it. And I was equally excited when we got to study ancient Greece in social studies haha
I really wish I had! But I didn’t find out about Percy Jackson until I was in college, and by the time I found it difficult to relate to the characters since I was so old 🫣
Oh yeah, how does a dummy like me subscribe to your newsletter. When explaining, please visualize me as a second grader. Thanks.🥴 Also, will autographed copies of your series be available?
You’re not a dummy. Here’s the link to subscribe! subscribepage.io/eloisebahr I have plans of making signed copies available but haven’t quite got to that part of figuring out the logistics… so tentatively yes!
