in some campaigns you can! sort of! i believe in rivulet and a few others, shes calm enough to just sit there and you can go up to her, crouch on her lap, and she will put a hand on your head to pet you i believe pebbles does the same in rivs campaign!
i know that moon and pebs can give the scugs headpats if they are close enough to them and at least one slug cat can wrap their tail around pebs (don't know for moon) so there's kinda something there.
a theme that i have noticed in rain world is that five pebbles follows the footsteps of the ancients, and moon goes completely against it, pebbles followed the suicidal actions of the ancients, and wound up almost exactly like an echo, while moon always had the will to keep going, never asking for the quick death of just eating her last neurons, and moon wound up better in the end. and pebbles altho too late to fix his wrong doings, turned around and spent his last cycles with moon, presumedly happy.
...Ooohhh. Shiiiiiit. Ok then. Pebbles as someone who tried to ascend, misapprehended the process, and ended up stuck somewhere in the middle, neither truly here nor there. In a state you certainly wouldn't call "alive", not really, but also for sure as hell unable to even be "dead". I've straight up never seen that take on it before. That kinda recontextualizes some stuff. (Or at least, adds some /more/ context)
I can't remember what the context for it is, but Moon has a line where she states that she did find something beautiful (I think it was some Ancient celebration? I can't remember), which further separates her and Pebbles. If Pebbles saw any beauty in life, he would not be in the situation he was in.

Your content is so good even the art you made before, i highly recommend looking into shorts/ the community tab more to maybe post sketches or funny little animations if you care about all that kind of stuff.
