"Hey No One's In Trouble Right Now, We're Just Tryin' To Figure Out What's Going On"

This audit brings us to this Lutheran Church where we were documenting from the public sidewalk within an hour of Sunday worship beginning. We encountered some curious individuals from this congregation questioning why we were recording the church & those going in . One individual went as far as calling me a smart a$$ for not giving him the answers he wanted, I figure I'd rather be considered a smart a$$ vs. a dumb a$$ any day 🤣
Eventually 2 officers showed up from Westminster police department. The first officer to make contact started with what seemed a weak attempt to take control of the situation by saying no ones in trouble right now . I asked the officer what it appeared we were doing based on his observation & he replied correctly , taking pictures & video . His partner who held back seemed to take control over him , reassuring we were not breaking any laws & that we have the right to be documenting. They eventually drove off scene without incident. Summarizing this audit, whoever called police definitely gets the fail & I gave a pass to police for handling the situation. Chime in below in the comments on your thoughts, would love to hear them .

Floors me that people think you need their permission to go about your day. And I'm still flabbergasted that someone uses the "you're filming cars and license plates". With the amount of dash cams, cars without built in cameras, traffic cams, intersection cams, cameras on buildings, license plate readers on tow company vehicles and you're worried about my one little camera getting your car on film...HAHAHAHAHAHA!

It still amazes me that the cops in your area, feel it necessary to approach you first, instead of those who "Called". Wouldn't that be were you start an investigation? Also, how are the idiots in the church going to know and get educated if the cops don't talk with them ? Great video as always.

He did not catch that but it was your way of telling him you have to right to record it is not up to him. So many cops act like they are giving you permission. He's a nice kid cop. The female cop literally did a great example on how to handle public photography. Go and observe, ask if there is any help needed and leave. Speak to calling party over the phone. She was there for 10 mins. Let her teach others.

"No one's in trouble right now" would like to have a word with your comment lol. Besides that remark, they should've made contact with the cop-caller in the church, educated them, and then left. That way, cop time and resources wont have to be wasted again, because a bunch of entitled Karens and Darrens demand a stranger, rightly practicing their constitutional rights, answer their questions.

I liked the part when someone said we were just walking by taking pictures and someone talked to us so we stopped and replied to them so now you’ve got our attention and we think we should probably stay here for a while. One gentleman in a truck made a derogatory remark to us so we figured exposure of that kind of treatment to people on a sidewalk deserves attention. Not very Christian like.

Just like the Catholic Church, other denominations have just as many problems and just as many negative people attending. At an intersection which had a stop sign in all directions, during the summer I witnessed people swearing at one another cursing and hollering because someone pulled out and didn’t let another person in line. They were all leaving a church service around 10:30 AM Sunday morning, so much for tolerance. Happened to be there when it took place and I’m told by neighbors it is not unusual for this to happen.

I live in an apartment complex with the elderly. Some just want to be nosy all the time. I keep to myself. I feel kind of sad because the nosy ones don’t feel their lives are important, when they are. It is hard being older, so everyone be helpful to the elderly when out and about.

@@OregonSingles they are very lonely, but not all. When people get older, others don’t pay attention to them as much. Older people don’t feel that great either. That is not an excuse to be mean to others. I am older and I never dreamed, as a younger person, I would have health issues that made me feel sick all the time. Some have lost spouses and friends. Some don’t have children living close. Some are just broken from life. That is why it is good to be kind to the elderly when out and about. If they bark unkind words, just go on with your day.
