Ui is doing so fantastic! Her progression is very obvious to those who watch regularly. She has become much more comfortable in the water. Nice to see Captain Aty always doing his part. He is a great Ambassador!

I think it’s so wonderful that Noro Lodge is like your second home. The lady who accompanies you cares for the otters. She’s been around since the beginning? Nice for you to have company on your otter swimming lessons!

Oh my God!!you Ui actually swim with no problem now! She can get fish, and then paddle with her back 2 feet in deep water, while eating! So awesome! Also the best part, (Which in my opinion, is actually unique to her more so than anyone else even)!, she seem to understand/gets her own fish now and she doesn't go attack Athens or fight him for his fish! So amazing so happy for that!

I love to watch Aty swim. His gracefulness is so pleasing. Miss Ui has grown by leaps and bounds already and it is wonderful to see.

The folks at Noro Lodge were right, Ui was able to be rehabilitated. She finally realized she was an otter like Aty.

Ui has truly blossomed into a confident young otter with all the patience and care you and Aty have shown her. I think Aty has gained a wonderful companion in Ui as well :)

Am surprised at Aty didn’t whine like last time when not playing enough in the water. Maybe he was just wondering why daddy didn’t let him swim more after the second meal and rushed back to N Lodge which is abnormal? That query look on his face seems to say “aren’t we going to swim more after lunch??” Ui does know the “dog paddling” style where one swims paddling and keeps the head above the water level all the time. (At 6:30 when she goes after her food. ) the way she swims is more of a diver where she only emerges once a while to get some air. This way of swimming is not recommendable for a beginner.

Have you ever considered putting fish on a fishing pole but instead of a hook, it's just tied to the fish's head. It lets the otters chase it around, and if they pull on the fish hard enough, the line will untie and they can eat their fish.
