First off... She needs to step back from her friends. More than likely, they see the potential and want to bust things up so they can get on your man. Secondly, if he is not a fit, he just isn’t a fit. Find somebody more ready for what you want or be patient with him and see if he just needs time. Or you could use this time to get yourself together too cuz if he is your dude and he is bettering himself, you should be doing the same.

I was with Steve until he said he's the same guy. He's 28. He didn't ask if he's going for a master's degree, didn't ask if he had a job and he was in school, just said he's in college so he's the same guy and doesn't have it together. That's not how it works.

Just ask if he just wants to be friends, or if he was interested in becoming more. If he says more then date; If not keep fishing. But keep it light, and friendly when asking.

Why can't she just asked him how he feels about her? She sounded insecure and a little desperate though. It could be that they're just hanging out and having sex and that's all it is. Or maybe she's afraid to ask him how he feels about her because she is afraid of the answer. But he's not ready for a serious relationship. Sounds like he's very busy in grad school so she need to leave him alone until he complete his studies. I remembered when I was in law school I didn't have time for relationships. Classes, studying, writing papers, making outlines and internships took up all my time!

Hey, Not every guy goes to college/trade school at the same time. Some are in the military first. Some rather work and figure out qhat they want first and then they go to college. There is NO SHAME in any of the above.

I can GUARANTEE you that tjis lady has asked herself this same dumb question and gave herself the same amount of dumb answers. Here's the lesson. Maya Angelou said it best. "Love can be many things, one thing that it cannot be is unsure" WOMEN! for the love of your self-esteem, self-respect, stop chasing and wanting something and someone that is showing you that you are not the one. Love aint complicated.

I'm sure she put out and now wanna lock him down. I was in a similar situation where I was talking to a 34 yo (I'm 25) and it had been 7 weeks of us doing this "playing house" thing where he would do boyfriend stuff and tell me he wants to be with me, but when I brought up him actually verbalizing that I'm his girlfriend, he wouldn't do it. Had all these rules about the amount of dates we needed to go on and etc. He then lost his job and made that the NRXT excuse why he wouldn't verbalize it...and I thought....I'm young, sacrificing parts of myself to make space for him and he couldn't even say "girlfriend" to make me feel secure... but could sleep with me... I was like I shouldn't have to beg somebody so I left.

I believe in ultimatums.. I just wouldn't tell the guy about it, id keep it to myself and if he doesn't improve within the time frame I've given him then I'm happy to move on. It seems like the guy is giving her mixed messages and that is a message in itself. He moved back to the town over a YEAR ago which means he's had plenty of time to push things forward and he hasn't! She knows what she wants whereas he doesn't seem ready for that commitment and she shouldn't wait around for him. Move on, lady!

There is a difference between ultimatum's and setting boundaries. Although setting a boundary may resemble an ultimatum, the intention and energy around it are different. Ultiimatum's tend to demand someone do something or change, boundaries give the person information around what your preferences, limits and deal breakers are and then releases them to make decisions regarding whether you are in alignment with one another or if they are able to honour your boundaries in order to make it work. Steve, you give great advice. Always an ah ha moment with you. Thanks.

Giving ultimatums saves you time and iys you being transparent with what you want. Its wisdom. Just leaving relationships when you dont get what you want is immature to me. Ultimatums is you at least trying to make it work. If it doesn't go in your favor you still maintain your peace.

I’m sorry I have to disagree, ultimatums are so very wrong, so very wrong I know from experience never ever give someone an ultimatum, they never forget it and I can guarantee they certainly later on will hold it against you, my husband left Dublin to gets job in London he wrote me a letter saying he’s met someone else so that was an ultimatum that I chose to run for, what a big mistake
