Did just what you did in 1972 to a Chevy II with the OEM paint color ... besides being dull it covered the car well and lasted many years ... got used to the dull finish and kind of liked it. Good job in ALL and loved talking in the RAIN and painting the tires and wheels.
Mark you are the shit! Your AWESOME! Damn it I love it when you do videos like this. These are my favorite. Never in a million years did I think that an electric spray gun would work at all much less how it turned out! Thanks again man for the great content! My favorite channel 100%
I had that harbor freight paint gun. It died after a few uses too. I now have the Finish Max Super paint sprayer. It was around $100 but it has the 2 stage trigger, pull it halfway and just air comes out then pull it fully and paint comes out. Its quiet and works great. I haven't used it for automotive paint....yet
Yea that's how I feel, car was 2 different colors when I bought it and a boat load of dents. Now it's a lot less dents and one color I'm happy for a beater car
Looks a lot better than it was. I wasn't expecting the cheap airless gun to even work at all. I believe it would have been a nice job if the gun wouldnt have crapped out. Love the look of the car.
So as I'm watching this I'm wondering if I should try this on my S10, I have like 1100.00 in the truck and it's like 5 different colors. I really like the gray color you used . In your opinion did the electric gun do a good enough job to use with a single stage paint?
That nardo gray looked like it layed down really good from an internet distance but couldn't really tell what the base was gonna do. I think the problems with airless/compressorless, both this one and the turbine type, is gonna be the hot pump and the hot air from the turbine. It will change the flash times dramatically and leave alot of dry spots. It was worth a shot but not something I would do if there was any way around it.
Beautiful job mate! I first used one five years ago when I painted my Toyota Celica bumper and I was amazed that the job Turned out perfect than a rattle can. I decided to buy myself a cordless one and didn't get around to buying the rechargeable batteries. I just bought a recarable polisher and the 21v300 battery I can use with my paint spray🤣🤣 so my next job with be painting my Toyota Caldina Gt4 N spec Bumper. I bought this car two years ago and now getting around to fixing the little issues this came with. I had an old Honda Integra back in 2011 and the paint work was horrible so I used rattle cans the job was horrible and truly wish I had these electric paint guns that would have turned out better. Well done to you for making this video. Perfect job🎉. 🍺
Watched Pt1 and Pt2. I have been curious about how possible using an airless sprayer might be. After watching these 3 vids, now I'm curious how hood a novice painter using the best equipment might compare with a pro using the "wrong" tool. ...lol Speedkote could beat me using a roller!
That is a smoking color man, for a beater car that thing turned out nice. I have an electrical spraygun from Adendorff and been using it for a while now, but never automotive, will try that next.
every week. This was 2 sec short video :). Hey I was like, yeah, this could work. I was a bit angry for not go and buy another one to finish it. Good job!
I like the review on this gun. Nice video. How difficult is it to clean once done prior to use the base coat on it and or clear prior to dying on u? I keep wanting to drive out to your location for leave you my little Sentra hooptee to paint for me but I have to get rocket panels and quarter panel repaired first due to rust
Great job brother, it looks like a young fella,s Friday night cruiser... Color suit the car, sweet as finish 🎉. $150 finish I'd be happy with that. ❤from New Zealand supporters ❤
no man. this is good... just curious what was your mix in the wingwang? Paint Activator Pearl(tbl spoon) Hardner and more basecoat? HB has them for $27.99 right now as soon as you walk in the door! good job
I see was pretty close with the synergy green guess. Didn’t know Chrysler had their version. If you go this color again, try putting down a silver ground first for fast coverage. The color looked good, and hey, @ least you tried. Next time try one from walmart😂
I have one of these spray guns and used it to put stain on my fence. It spit globs of stain unexpectantly and then sometimes wouldn't spray at all and clog up. They really are a cheap piece of crap. I had to buy two guns because they only last a few times of use. I'm surprised that you were able to get it to spray as smooth as you did
this works quite well its a perfect way to paint a truck your going in the woods with thats gona get scratched up or a utility truck/car thats used to work
Harbor Freight used to sell a turbine paint sprayer for $100. I wish I had gotten it before it was discontinued. I wanted to try it. Definitely better than the home sprayer. It would have to be
I still say its great with what u had to work with .I'm not saying that every car painter should do this still its great for what u did to show what can be done in a pinch
I’m going to try this with my graco tc pro airless. Can you recommend a brand/ type of paint/ primer that would work best with this? Also the clear coat. I know less sheen = less visible imperfections, but in general is there a color that hides better also? Thanks for this unique content.
You can get a very good Fuji Turbine system for about the price of very good spray gun.Check out some of the vids here on the tube. There is a learning curve, but since your already a painter it will be easy.
Very good 👍😊 motivates me to go ahead paint 🎨 my truck for the first time time I'm excited I've been finishing my body work have a little more to go then it's ready to paint 🎨
That's what I'm saying, you set out and named the video airless spray gun, you have the money to spend 500 plus on paint. But you crap out on your own video and don't go buy another 20 - 30 dollar sprayer. I mean it's your choice and your own video, but you name it one thing and then don't follow through?
I'm getting a plastic front lip for an 02 Camry that will need to be painted and I thought about just getting the color match spray can is that can cost what $15- $17 a can If I could spend $40 on a sprayer like that just to do a 5ft long plastic piece
how many watts was the spray gun? and can it also spray clear or not? ( i know that a hvlp is much better with clears but i don't have a setup just yet)
Considering that those paints ain't even formulated for such a spray gun, it's a miracle that this thing even works, and if enough people ask the manufactures to make a specialty formulate paint for this kind of sprayer maybe we can have much better results, I'm pretty sure that there's a market for that, given the extremely low price to enter the business. And of course, there are way better electric sprayer, those that often called "turbine sprayer" and people use them a lot for furniture.
@@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 love the content bro keep it up👌 hopefully one day I paint my car too. you think you could do a white pearl? Never seen you do one before
Why didn't you mask off the tires you got all over them. lol Besides that great job I'm going to buy one at hobo freight now that I have seen your video. I am only fixing chipped paint spots on my Buick with color code matched paint. Then some on my f150. So it should not crap out on me too.
I bought that same HF gun for home use. it was total junk and had a ton of paint splatters and it was barely good enough for one job before no longer working. The cheaper spray gun I got off amazon was much better and reusable.
I went on speedokote and put in the color code for Camellia red and wanted to order a gallon of base coat. It didn't give me a price even whenever I went to check out and billing. It says free shipping and then no cost for the product. My question is if I pre-order it I don't know how much the paint is going to be. So do I pre-order it and then they'll send me an email saying how much is going to cost and then verify that I want to buy it?
@@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 yeah I used y'all's glamour clear recently and it really came out nice! 👍 So far I've been using base coats by auto hq off eBay and had good luck. I've been working for myself and started with flipping Hondas and painting them and it's been almost a year now! First car I painted was my personal 92 Acura integra with the speedokote bright white single stage and it came out beautiful. I've painted two full cars and a custom set of rims since then I've been working on my experience with base clear. Also currently doing a full jamb job and color change to Nevada beige on a 93 Toyota pickup. Just did the jambs and finished it off with the glamour clear and Damn it is nice 👍 . I'm really looking forward to the speedokote option for the any color code base coat because if it's as good as y'all's clear coat I want it! 🤣
@@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 and thank you for checking into it. I was really confused when I went to check out and it didn't state a price after filling out all the info. I have an account as well I've bought products from y'all before and never had an issue.
I just recently bought this paint sprayer I’m confused because people keep telling me different things. What paint do I use for the sprayer gallon house paint?or car paint? Probably sounds stupid but I’ve never painted a car before so I have no clue🤷🏼♂️ any information would be much appreciated.
Lol I understand where you’re coming from, but the type of person I am I could care less about how it looks. Any paint job is better than what I have now lol. So if you don’t mind me asking if it’s car paint where would I find it at? Or do I have to order it online? Because all I’m finding is the spray cans not the gallon
Amazon has way better turbine spray guns, most come with removable 1-2.0 sized tips and lay down pretty good. I painted a car in color shift paint with a $20 gun off Amazon and it looks great.
